"What the hell are you doing?!" Arielle yelped, startled, pushing Raiden away with all her might. Her own body pulled away almost instinctively, too, as it put up all the invisible walls to guard her heart against him.
"S–Sorry," Raiden stuttered slightly, his eyes widened in surprise. It was hard to tell whether he was taken aback by the fact that he kissed Arielle or the fact that she, in fact, rejected his kiss.
"Do you just randomly kiss girls like this all the time?" Arielle hissed, wiping her lips with the back of her hand as if they were smeared with something offensive.
Raiden couldn't help but smile. "No, usually, I try to restrain myself the best I can. I guess today is not one of those days."
He kept grinning, and Arielle had no other option but to sigh, as she could not get mad at him when he looked so innocently funny.
