Valakia — a country in the Inevitable Lands, a region unreachable by the human kingdoms, much like the Americas once were in our own world.
The nation is ruled by an ancient race of demigods known as the Nobles (vampires). Its population is divided as follows: 10% Nobles, 35% humans, 50% faunus, and 5% allied Therianthropes.
There are other kingdoms scattered across the desolate lands, but they hold little importance in this story.

Races
Nobles:
Known as Children of the Moon, they are semi-immortal demigods — most of them either humans or faunus who were transformed by the blood of another Noble.
Their powers vary widely, including:
Complete regeneration (except for the heart)
Superhuman strength and speed
Energy absorption
Blood absorption to restore their powers faster
And one unique special ability granted to each Noble individually.

Therianthropes:
Also called Children of the Moon, these beings are shapeshifters capable of transforming into animals or mythical creatures — wolves, lions, birds, dragons, or even fairies.
They are semi-immortal as well, and the bite of an Alpha can transform a human into a Therianthrope of the same species as the Alpha who bit them.
Their powers include:
Super strength
Super speed
Enhanced durability
Transformation
And complete regeneration (except for the head and heart).

Humans:
Known as Children of Light and Darkness, they are the offspring of the twin gods.
Born with powerful souls, humans are capable of adapting to the cruel and changing world they inhabit.

Faunus:
Anomalies born from the union of Therianthropes and humans — hybrids created after the Therianthropes lost their divinity as punishment for standing by the Moon God until the end.
Once stripped of their divine essence, they became similar to humans in soul and form, which made the birth of hybrids possible.
