Chapter 42 - 042. ???

After hiding in the restroom for half an hour, An Han hadn't heard any noise from the dorm room for a long while.

Only then did he finally exhale in relief—but he still couldn't figure out why Su Peng had suddenly become so concerned about him.

And even went so far as to declare they were "best friends"...

Before this, they'd only occasionally played games together, shared rides on Su Peng's bike to class, or exchanged a few casual words when they bumped into each other. At most, they were just ordinary friends.

Otherwise, An Han would've already started calling Su Peng "son" by now.

Could it be because of those extra affection points?

Su Peng didn't seem to connect An Han's chest changes to breast development—or maybe he had considered it, but thought illness was far more likely.

What should I do? What should I do...?

I can't possibly strip in front of Su Peng to prove it!

Su Peng's concern left An Han flustered, terrified that he might accidentally expose his physical condition.

But if he kept dodging the question and acting evasive, that wouldn't be good either.

Ah, whatever—Su Peng's probably left by now, right?

An Han pushed open the bathroom door and peeked outside.

Phew—Su Peng was indeed gone!

His tension instantly vanished. Whistling a tune, he scampered over to his wardrobe to look for the system-rewarded item he'd earned after completing the task.

While rummaging through his closet, however, a thought suddenly struck him:

If the system says this chest binder can make your chest completely undetectable—even if you're shirtless…

…could I just wear it, take off my clothes in front of Su Peng, and let him confirm everything's fine? That'd ease his worries, right?

But then again—even if he flattened his chest, his overall figure was undeniably feminine. No normal guy had his delicate waist and shapely hips.

"There's no solution... I'll just have to keep avoiding Su Peng."

With a headache, An Han pulled out the binder from his wardrobe. It looked almost identical to a girl's white cotton bralette.

Just as he was about to undress and try it on, he suddenly turned toward the dorm room door.

Last time, he'd forgotten to lock it while changing—and that's exactly when Su Peng barged in.

Otherwise, he'd have already completed the task involving Su Peng by now.

He rushed to lock the door, then finally began putting on the binder.

It was simple to use—just like slipping on a regular undershirt. He fastened the clasp behind his back and stood before the mirror, inspecting himself from top to bottom.

The material was incredibly thin; wearing it felt almost weightless. Only a slight tightness made his breathing a bit restricted—definitely not ideal for exercise.

But as for its effect? Absolutely incredible!

An Han pressed a hand against his chest. The once-soft flesh was now firm and flat—just like it had been before the system changed him.

…Though in the mirror, his waist still looked way too slender.

"Finally, a truly useful item!" An Han smiled contentedly, muttering to himself, "Guess the system actually did something decent for once."

But then it hit him:

"Wait... wasn't it the system that turned me like this in the first place?"

His smile froze instantly.

*Knock knock.*

A soft rap came at the door, followed by a slight creak of the wooden frame. Su Peng's voice drifted through:

"An Han, why'd you lock the door?"

"Coming, coming!"

An Han quickly threw on a T-shirt—no jacket—and wondered how Su Peng would react.

He hurried to open the door and peeked out. Su Peng was holding a can of cola right in front of his face.

"So you went to buy cola just now?"

"Yeah."

Delighted, An Han took the drink and chugged a big gulp, letting out a satisfied sigh and a little burp.

Yet even as he savored that first fizzy mouthful, his eyes subtly stayed fixed on Su Peng.

*That guy's staring at my chest again!*

*Well, too bad! It's flat now!*

*Bet he's totally confused.*

Smugly, An Han turned and strutted back into the room, plopping down at his computer and crossing his legs. "Wanna game?"

"Not that—"

"Don't listen to An Ke Xin. She's just joking about tumors and stuff. I'm telling you, I've just gained weight way too fast, okay?"

An Han glanced down at his now-flat chest, pride beaming. "See? As long as I wear something slightly fitted, you can't even tell!"

"…"

He kept bluffing with a straight face: "Seriously, it's not a disease. I looked it up—rapid weight gain can cause breast growth in guys. Even stretch marks, sometimes."

Neither of them knew much about medicine; everything they "knew" came from random Google searches. An Han's explanation sounded plausible enough that Su Peng started doubting his earlier worries.

…But why had he believed An Ke Xin so readily in the first place?

She'd only mentioned it half-jokingly—yet he'd panicked, rushed to look it up online, and found all kinds of bizarre possibilities.

Su Peng listened blankly, his mind instinctively trusting An Han's words.

Seeing Su Peng still look uncertain, An Han sighed dramatically, "Do you really want me to be sick or something?

If I actually had some weird growth, don't you think I'd have gone to the hospital already? I wouldn't need you to tell me!

Besides," he added playfully, "that'd be a great excuse to skip class."

Su Peng nodded slowly, a strange sense of loss settling over him as he opened his laptop.

Today, An Han seemed even more captivating—more alluring.

His words felt more convincing, and Su Peng found himself believing them without question. But that only made him wonder: was he… turning gay?

Impossible!

He'd seen plenty of handsome guys and beautiful girls before—none of them had ever made him feel like this.

And An Han wasn't even that handsome… or particularly beautiful. At most, he was… enchanting.

"Let's queue up! I'm gonna climb a whole hundred ranking points today!"

"No way."

"That's called setting goals!"

Even An Han's voice sounded softer now. A sweet, subtle fragrance drifted from him, making Su Peng feel as if he were sitting beside a girl.

His heart raced. As he logged into the game, his eyes kept drifting toward An Han.

The scent alone made his head spin pleasantly, lifting his mood inexplicably.

He used to think An Han was too "girly"—but now, strangely, he found him increasingly likable. A bizarre thought even popped into his mind:

*If An Han were a girl, I'd marry him in a heartbeat…*

[Task completed! Reward: System upgrade – "Instant Costume Change"]

**Instant Costume Change**: 24-hour cooldown. By referencing a photo, you can instantly replicate the outfit and makeup shown in the image.

An Han was overjoyed.

The task was done—and even overachieved!

Was Su Peng really this generous today? Ten affection points at once!

He chugged two more big gulps of cola, ignoring Su Peng who sat dazed beside him, and called out silently in his mind:

System! Check Su Peng and Long Xing's affection toward me!

[Long Xing: Affection 85]

[Su Peng (under Enchantment effect): Affection 77↑]

"Huh???"
