It was 4AM and the day hadn't broken yet when Cassandra arrived at Lilian's apartment.
The darkness of the hour wasn't doing anything to conceal Cassandra's fury- her eyes were flashing gold brightly even in the dark, as she walked towards the house.
Lilian, who was deeply sleeping at that moment didn't hear anything:
She didn't hear the soft thud of someone landing on the fire escape outside her bedroom window neither did she hear the window sliding open.
"She is breathing just fine..." Cassandra muttered, relief flooding her. She had instantly activated her senses as she stepped into the room to pick up her mate's breathing.
It sounded like music to her ears and she loved every bit of it.
Wanting to confirm there was no physical injuries or anything similar, she went to kneel beside the bed, her upper body leaning forward, making her face hover just few inches from Lilian's face.
