I woke up startled from a strange dream but I wasn't about Adrien this time, it was a woman. She wore cloths that greek goddesses would were, she was pale, her hair was dark brown with red eyes, she had a cold gaze. To be honest she looked like me but replace the red eyes with green and I was light skinned not pale, it was weird but familiar. Well it's the weekend, no work today so I decided to take a walk to process everything properly, as I was about to leave Kate asked were I was headed to and I just told I was going for a walk. After walking for a while but it didn't really help clear my mind so I decided I needed a distraction, so I went window shopping, stopped by a cafe for coffee, visited the bookstore and then after a while stopped at a diner for some food on my way back home. It was already 7pm I had been out for a while and I decided (like the idiot I am) to take the park as a shortcut home, it wasn't really that's dark but there was no one in the park, I walked as fast as I could but then I saw it. That thing looked like he snuck on earth, it's back was hunched with it's spine sticking out of it's back, with sharp teeth and nails that look like claws. It's skin was unnaturally pale and it's eyes were bulging out and was really tall (Shaq ain't got nothing on him), I tried but that was no use because it caught up to me and wrapped it's hand around my neck bringing me closer to it's mouth (this hoe was trying to eat OH HELL NO) I wriggled trying to get away from it but it was no use. Then by some miracle Kate appeared out of nowhere and landed a punch straight in it's face, I don't know where she came from but thank God she came. The creature growled at and tried to pounce on her but it stopped, I turned back to see Kate staring at it (MIND CONTROL) and it's head exploded (HOLY SHIT) Kate turned to me "now that's taken care of let's go home" she didn't wait for a reply and started walking. When we got we both sat on the dining table (and I'm surprised I haven't fainted yet) "so I have a lot of questions but first of all thanks for saving me but what in God's name was that thing" "it's an unbranded" "could elaborate more" "that's what vampire's who don't have a clan turns into, the thing is a brand stops vampire from losing control and killing humans just like yours stops you from telling our secret but if a vampire doesn't have one they start acting on every instinct till they lose their minds in the process and end up like that" "and out of all the names you guys could come up for it, it was unbranded that you came up with" she raised an eyebrow at me "I don't think we were too concerned about the name we gave the monsters but forgive us for our lack of creativity" "You're forgiven" and at that she rolled her eyes at me "why are there unbranded vampires to begin with" "well that's what were trying to figure out there's someone amongst us who turns people to vampire's and takes no responsibility for them and as a result those things are formed and they start to cause a lot of problems" "ok and one more thing" "what is it" "why were you at the park at this hour" "that I can't answer" "we're you following me" "no you're not that important" "wow" " anyways goodnight I'm going to bed" and she just left. I decided I needed to go to bed as well but I couldn't sleep not with very thing that just happened so I decided to scroll through insta and finally I slept off.

It's currently 10 am and I still don't have plans of getting up. After a while I freshened up and I don't know what I'm gonna eat for breakfast, then there was a knock at the door I opened it to see Katherine standing there "I'm here for you" "me?" "I believe you heard me" " why?" "you and I are going out to talk" "about?" "go change into a more decent attire and meet me outside" and she turned around and left. After I changed, I went down to meet her "where are we going?" "to my place I need to confirm something" "confirm what?" " we'll talk when we get there" I just nodded and she started to drive. After a few minutes of silence she asked "what's your family name" "Arundel" (it sounds old I know) "what's yours" she didn't say anything for a while and I thought she wouldn't answer but she said "Duval" "your french?" "half french" "okay" "how did you know it was french" "I read about it from somewhere" "you read?" "why do you sound so surprised" "you don't look like someone who reads" (okay I'm offended) "what type of person do I look like to you" "to be honest I don't know" and we stayed silent for the rest of the ride. When we finally got to her place, and I wasn't what I was expecting, I know she gives off old money vibes but I didn't think she'd be this rich her house is beautiful. She lead me into the house and we settled in the living room "would you like anything" "no thanks" "then let's get to business, are you from New York?" "no actually I'm from Virginia" "why did you move?" "Well my parents thought it was better I study here and after I graduated they decided it's best I stay here" "okay, I need you to follow me" she lead me upstairs to a painting and asked "does she look familiar to?"
