Thousands of eons ago, a little misunderstanding sparked a cosmic war between Heaven, Hell, and other supernatural factions that thought joining the war would bring about the next leader of all the entities/factions, and that war was called "The Cataclysm".
The war raged for almost a millennium until one day....bang.
And just like that, the war ended.
To date, no one actually knows what actually caused the war and what eventually ended it. But the result of the chaos was undeniable. Humans suffered for the results of their recklessness.
Humans who survived the Cataclysm absorbed fragments of divine and infernal cores and mutated into something more.
Some called it a blessing; others called it a curse.

An academy was then created for the wielders of the powers. The Academy helps them control and channel their powers, so chaos does not sprout once more. It is also said to prepare the students/attendants for the next war.
A prophecy is now discovered that a new war will start, and few will be chosen to stop the war. But among the "chosen ones" is the son of the Duke of Hell himself—Xavier Lucien Astaroth is one of the chosen ones.
But he's not the villain...
