Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: The Choice

Back in her own lab, Elara faced a horrifying sight. Nova Haven was breaking apart: buildings flickered like holograms, the sky was fractured into shifting colors, and citizens began to glitch in and out of existence. Kael was trapped in a looping fragment of his own memory, unable to respond.

Elara realized the Telestitch itself had become unstable. To save her world, she had only two options: destroy the Telestitch entirely, erasing the threads she had carefully woven, or stabilize it by sacrificing her own connection to reality.

"I can't let this world collapse," she whispered, clutching the crystal core that powered the device. With a deep breath, she activated the stabilization protocol. The machine pulsed like a heartbeat, its threads weaving reality back together, tightening, smoothing, and repairing every anomaly. She felt herself being pulled apart, her consciousness stretching across multiple dimensions before being rewoven into a single coherent existence.
