Chapter-23: protagonist luck, ordinary wooden box has extraordinary treasures
If you look on earth's many of the religions with principal gods usually use a spear as their weapon. All the ancient religions and gods usually use a staff or a spear. Above this is actually the bow and arrows. It is like a sniper in war times.
When fighting a war, the numbers of enemies a soldier can kill vary and not everyone he shoots or attacks might kill an enemy. But for a sniper it is almost 100 percent a kill. Usually the number of kills in the record of a sniper is much higher than a normal soldier.
An archer is very similar to that and if extra fittings are added like a magic arrow he can even destroy a city with a single arrow which is not something a normal warrior can do in a war. An archer is like a strategic weapon himself.
After this room there is another room right behind it. Yes this time rooms are not like leaves of a branch instead it is like train coaches one after the other. They all lead to one big hall that is the boss room or the room with the stairs.
Visva did not leave the rat's corpse behind. It is not that he wanted to eat rat's meat but he has two good purposes for taking it and keeping it in his space. First is he can practice butchering skill that is quite useful in learning sword and blade techniques along with axe wielding.
It can be said to be some basic practice for the future use. He thought about this matter and put the dead rat in his space. The second good thing is that this processed rat can actually be sold to the mysterious merchant.
There is only so much dungeon coins in the dungeon and you have to use every possible means to accumulate more dungeon coins one way or the other. He has 1000 iron arrows and more than 10 cross bows. So he is not worried that they are not sufficient to fight.
In the next room he saw a dog with 4 eyes walking around or jumping around the place that has more rocks in the cave room. Visva carefully positioned in a sneaky place and made the first shot when the dog is not looking towards him.
As soon as he made the shot he did not wait for the shot to hit. After the shot he directly hid behind the wall. This is because dogs are more reactive compared to rats. As he expected the arrow did not hit the dog but it escaped.
Visva waited for another 10 seconds and looked at the situation in the room after listening to the sound of dog walking around again. When he saw, he saw that the arrow was stuck at one place on the cave wall.
Visva immediately aimed again and made another shot. This time there is a sound of arrow piercing the flesh and the screeching of the four eyed dog monster. Visva knows he made the hit and he did not immediately come out to check.
"Sui…" "Kussss…." "Kreeeee…"
After a little while he heard the limping sound of the dog when walking and made another shot sneakily hitting the target again. The dog did not die with two arrow shots. After all it is a level 2 monster while the rat is only a level 1 monster.
After the third shot the dog finally died and Visva waited for a few moments before carefully checking the dog to make sure that it is dead by throwing a stone at it and finally went in to collect the dog. There is a wooden treasure chest in this room.
Well it is related to the protagonist hunting room in a way and there will be good things. Visva went to pick the lock of the treasure chest carefully and it did not take long for him to unlock it. When it was unlocked he was cautious and carefully checked for traps.
Inside is high quality food and drinks that costs thousands of dollars on earth along with an experience orb that can give 500 points of experience directly and there is a sack of dungeon coins that amounts to 800 coins.
This kind of good things is not something that can be obtained in a wooden treasure chest unless they are extremely lucky. Well this luck should be on the same level as that of the protagonist.
But this kind of luck of the protagonist is something that did not have much intelligence. If someone intentionally tries to trick it like what Visva is doing right now it would definitely benefits others instead of the protagonist.
It is like taking candy by tricking a child. The child knows good things but their intelligence is not much. As for the protagonists, 90 percent of them are simple idiots as they are chosen to follow a specific direction in life.
They are like blind bulls that run on the track that is specifically marked. They did not care about what happens and who makes things up. They only have one target that is to reach the end.
They do live happy life but it is because the end of the tracked road marked reaches that point by killing other lucky people along to reach a certain goal set by the will of the world. That is it would use this stupid protagonist to plunder the luck of the ones of that planet or world.
That is how the earth is always below and the heaven is always above. But something new appeared in between. It is an anomaly like the system that would actually plunder luck from the protagonist and taking away his opportunities.
The luck was taken by the system and the opportunities were taken by the candidate that is the host of the system. That is how the division of things would be. Visva went to collect the things quickly and put them in his specified sack for dungeon coins.
