ARAYA POV
We hit Thornhaven's gates at dawn with the fury of every wolf who'd ever been told their bonds were corruption.
"BREACH THE WALLS!" My Alpha voice carried over the sounds of siege engines and battering rams. "Find my son! Find the research facilities! TEAR THIS FORTRESS APART STONE BY STONE IF YOU HAVE TO!"
Ronan fought at my side in massive Direwolf form, his golden eyes blazing with the same desperate rage I felt burning in my chest. The bond with Lucian was still dark—still severed by whatever blood-magic the vampires used—but I knew he was here.
Somewhere in this nightmare fortress, my son was being held. Studied. Treated as specimen instead of person.
And I was going to burn the world to get him back.
"East wing!" Lyra's shout cut through the chaos. "Lior escaped earlier—told us they're keeping Lucian in the research facilities! Underground chambers beneath the east wing!"
