Chapter 40: Disappearance
Milim had long harbored secret feelings for Lukas Von Premirer. Although she never voiced them aloud, anyone could tell simply by the unwavering sparkle in her eyes whenever she looked at him.
Caesar had always actively probed Lukas, his close friend, about this matter. Lukas, however, consistently brushed it aside.
"She is not my type. No matter what you say, the result will always be the same."
Still, it would be better if you liked Milim rather than Emilia.
As Caesar watched the Premirer family carriage enter the Moon Palace, such thoughts filled his mind. He knew that he seemed to be obsessing excessively over Emilia, yet he had no way to restrain his own emotions.
"Helena, bring more tea."
Fortunately, Emilia paid no attention to Caesar's chaotic thoughts at all. She merely called Helena over to bring more tea and pastries for Milim and Caesar.
Milim sat shyly beside Lukas and softly asked what he had come to the Moon Palace for today.
