Chapter 1 - The beginning

Somewhere in a forest said to grant wishes, a little fairy wakes up, as it inspectes it's body with a perplexed expression it sodenly heares a voice.

"Immortal one, I will be waiting for you at the heart of the Forest of Wishes"

The fairy already confused by his flower like body turnes and looks in the direction the voice was coming from but doesn't see anything but a seemingly boundless forest.

After searching the area he doesn't find anything except for some strange plants.

Strangely the plants seam familiar but he don't have any memory of ever seeing them, actually he doesn't have any memories of anything.

After thinking for a while he says:

"Who am I ?"

But no one responds. Disappointed that the voice didn't respond, the fairy leaves.

Looking around the flower like being sees a lake but to him it might as well be a ocean because he was so small compared to it.

He gets near the lake, crouches down to take a sip of water and the water as if it has a mind of it's own starts to envelope the little boy.

Seeing this the boy tires to broke free but he is already to far beneath the surface.

He slowly falls asleep and then like a miracle opens his eyes. He was no longer under water.

He looks with shock at his body and don't see his flower like body instead of it was a owl like creature with feathers in many different colors. While the bird was studying it's new body it suddenly had a strange feeling like something warm was slowly making it's way too it's head. When the feeling reach it's head, a sharp pain bloomed behind the eyes, like a thousand splinters of glass pressing outward. The world tilted, sounds muffled, and the weight of something unseen pressed harder against it.

The edges of thought blurred, eyelids dragging shut as if pulled by unseen hands. The world dulled into quiet slipping away-drowned in the stillness of sleep.

[ Trait fusion complete, you have aquaiered the trait Echo of the Self from the fusion of Whisper of Essence and Gaze of Reflection ]

The unknown voice which seems to come from the owl's head wakes it up.

"Trait?"asked the strangely colored owl .

[ A trait is a ability born from the soul which every living being has, it is a power connected to ones species and personality ]

"How come I couldn't hear you voice until now?"

[ I am the manifestation of the Echo of the Self trait which you just aquaiered ]

"What are you able to do?"

[I can tell you general information about your body like species and your current condition as well as detailed information about the traits you have or used to]

"Tell me about Whisper of Essence and Gaze of Reflection. "

[ Whisper of Essence is a trait possessed by most fairies, it gives one the ability see souls.

Gaze of Reflection is a trait which most owl like creatures have, it gives one the ability of reflecting hidden knowledge back to the beholder, it only applies to living beings. You lost both of those traits in the process of fusion ]

The owl though for a minute about the recent events and then took flight, sloppily of course after all it was his first time flying.

After looking around for a bit he found a familiar lake, it was the same lake in which he met his end.

He landed near the lake and took a couple of steps towards the water, after waiting for a bit he finds himself submerged like before. He closes his eyes and once again dies.

It seems that this owl, unlike other members of his species, is not the type to do the same mistake twice, he makes it five or six times just to make sure he got it right.
