Chapter 26 - the Night king awakens

Aiden's vision blurred, his heartbeat pounding louder than the roar of battle. Selene's weak voice begged him to stop, Lilith's pale hand reached toward him… but Ophis's wrist was right before his lips, a siren call he couldn't resist.

He bit.

Her blood burned down his throat like liquid fire, igniting something ancient within him. But it wasn't enough. His body screamed for more, his veins clawing for every drop of power hidden inside her.

Ophis's crimson eyes softened. She leaned closer, her voice a whisper only he could hear. "Then take me. All of me."

In the middle of fire and blood, she bared her pale skin, offering herself without hesitation. Aiden's restraint shattered. He sank his fangs deep into her neck, pulling greedily, drinking not just her blood but her very essence.

Ophis gasped, her face flushing, but instead of resisting, she bit him back — her fangs piercing into his chest. The bond sealed instantly, chains of crimson and darkness entwining their souls.

The ground cracked beneath them as Aiden's aura exploded outward.

His hair darkened, his eyes burned with a scarlet glow, and arcs of lightning fused with rivers of blood swirling around him. The Night King's power — the forbidden blood manipulation — had awakened.

He rose slowly, his wounds sealing, his body radiating death. With a single gesture, the blood spilled across the battlefield lifted from the ground, turning into crimson spears that rained down on the Second Choir. Screams erupted as armored priests were skewered, drained, and silenced.

The hunters had become the hunted.

At the edge of the battlefield, a holy general halted mid-step, his eyes wide.

Two gunshots cracked through the chaos.

Bang. Bang.

The general staggered back as two golden bullets grazed his armor, burning holes into the holy light itself. His gaze snapped to the source — a boy standing tall, twin pistols blazing.

"Impossible…" the general whispered. "Those guns… they belong to Victor Allucard himself."

The boy smirked, his silver hair gleaming under the moon. "Guess what? He left them in better hands."

The general's blood ran cold as realization struck. "The Baby Devil…"

Lucien's grin widened, mischief dancing in his eyes. "Been a while since I stretched my legs. Let's see if you've got anyone left who can keep up."

The battlefield froze for a heartbeat — the Church realizing they were no longer fighting children, but monsters.

One an awakened Night King.

The other the Baby Devil, wielder of Victor's guns.

And together, their massacre had only begun.
