"Bryan, make sure you come back after your first walk," the woman, who looked no older than 30 years, said, her tone tinged with sadness.
"Don't make us worried," the man who looked of equal age said beside the woman.
Bryan looked at both of them, his eyes narrowing and widening at rapid intervals. Who would have thought that these two beings hailed for their might in all of the high planes were behaving like children here?
"Mom," he said to the golden-haired woman with cerulean eyes.
"I promise to come back as soon as possible," he said, rubbing his hand against hers.
Then he looked at his father, the man with blue hair that stopped behind his neck. Silver eyes that seemed to pierce souls.
"Why are you acting like a child?" He spoke with a smug tone.
His dad's eyes twitched, clearly frustrated. How can his own son speak to his mother like that, then talk to him like they were age mates?
Before he could voice out his anger, Bryan waved, then disappeared.
"You saw what your son just did, right?" Max roared in anger.
If Bryan were not his son, he would have destroyed the spatial coordinates that he went through.
Vivian smiled when she saw this. "Who told you to be a weirdo?" She said, walking back into the grand mansion.
Max trailed behind her, still pouring all his confusion on her.
The maids and butlers looked at them with wide eyes. The Celestial warden and Eclipse sovereign were behaving like children. If they told anyone, the person would call it a lie, rather believing that a colossal turns nice.
But it was the truth, when they were with their son, this was how they looked.
The maids got back to work, not wasting time thinking about something they saw almost every day.
Bryan appeared in a vast, expanding darkness.
He floated calmly like a celestial, his golden hair completely still by the static pressure of the void.
Tiny vortexes swirled before his silver eyes as he examined each one carefully.
"So this is the void in the lower plane," he muttered with a smile. "I don't even know which world to choose," he muttered, looking at the vortexes.
"System, just choose anyone," he said.
[Affirmative, host.]
Then, with the chime, Bryan felt a pull. Before he knew it, he was standing.
He was in the middle of what seemed to be a ruin. Broken building, damaged wells, and overgrown grass.
His regal clothes from before had been replaced with simple brown clothes.
"System, where is this?" he asked the system, a guide bestowed to all walkers.
[This planet is called Blood Waste. It is a world where people awaken something known as the blood sigil. To nobles, they use the sigil to enhance their bloodline, while commoners use it to absorb blood essence to get new abilities.]
The system explained to Bryan. Bryan was surprised by the revelation. "That means commoners are stronger than nobles, right?" He asked.
It was common sense, since the nobles are restricted to bloodline abilities, while the commoners could awaken abilities endlessly.
[The host is right, but the nobles still have the edge since every bloodline comes with the ability to suppress those without bloodlines.]
"Ohh," Bryan mused aloud.
Before he could continue with his thoughts, rustling came from the bush ahead.
Levi squinted his eyes before he leapt towards one of the buildings to hide. He did not know anything, it was better to be safe than sorry.
Then from the bush, a tattered boy was thrown. His body was battered with blood and his clothes were torn, just short from revealing his nakedness.
Following the body, 3 men came outside. One was short, with a dagger strapped behind his back.
Next to him was a swordsman that stood above 6 feet. Then a man, visibly the leader, stood at 6 feet, with a spear.
They looked at the body with scorn. "You felt you could kill a noble just because the bloodline suppression doesn't work on you," the man in the lead started, bending down to lift the boy with his hand.
No words came from the boy, causing the man to get angry. With force, he slammed his head into the floor, creating cracks that spread across the floor.
The boy coughed violently as pain erupted.
"Tell me, why is your sigil special?" The bandit continued. No answer, then another bash.
It continued, the leader smashing the boy's head into the floor continuously.
Behind him, his lackeys stood, completely devoid of any emotions towards the boy.
"Since there is nothing to gain from you, I might as well kill you and absorb your abilities," the leader sneered, pulling his spear high to pierce down.
Then a streak.
Blood dyed the air crimson red, and the spear dropped.
The boy didn't die, rather the leader's head was severed from his head.
Appearing close to the leader's body was none other than Bryan.
Earlier, while Bryan was watching the interaction, the system chimed.
[Host has encountered the world's protagonist in a dangerous situation, save the protagonist to earn 200 divens.]
Bryan looked at the prompt with furrowed brows. "Of all protagonists, I had to get an half dead one," he muttered, his voice barely above his breath.
"System, open the shop." The shop was one of a walker's cheat, allowing them to buy anything that existed in the world, be it extinct or current.
[Host currently has only 1000 divens, and would only gain access to low tier products.]
[Wolf blood: Grants slight improvement to agility and senses(300 divens)]
[Serpent blood: Grants slight improvement to reflexes and poison immunity(300 divens]
[Boar blood: Grants slight improvement to strength(300 divens)]
[Dire wolf blood: Grants claw manifestation(700 divens)]
Bryan looked at the shop almost unending list, and finally chose two, dire wolf blood and wolf blood.
As he tapped on them, two crystals materialized mid air, and he caught them easily.
Turning his palm, he saw a glowing red mark. Without hesitation, he commanded it to absorb the crystal.
It released a crimson light, but Bryan covered it up quickly to avoid alerting the bandits.
Then as the light dimmed, Bryan felt something change in him.
Without hesitation, he lunged at the leader, who he deemed the most threat.
"So, who is going to meet your leader first," Bryan said with an unnerving smile.
