A forty-year-old man was lying on his bed like a living corpse. Looking at his face, you could tell he hadn't slept for days — the dark circles under his eyes were so deep that from a distance it seemed there was only darkness where his eyes should be. He gets up from the bed, goes to the bathroom, washes his face, makes himself coffee in the kitchen, and goes out to sit in the garden. Looking around, it's obvious he lives in a very luxurious neighborhood. After finishing his coffee he gets up and begins getting ready for the office. As he's leaving, he meets his neighbor.
"Hello, Mr. Rathor."
"Oh! Hello, Mrs. Sharma."
After exchanging greetings with his neighbor he leaves for work.
"Ahh! I'm late again today."
When he reaches his workplace it becomes clear that he is a manager in the finance department of a large American MNC. Walking toward the office, his juniors greet him and, after he passes, start talking about him. From their conversation he learns that his wife — together with her boyfriend — has filed a false case against him. Because of the stress from all this, he hasn't been sleeping properly for a long time. While he's working, one of his seniors comes to him and offers to help, saying they can get all those cases cleared quickly. He immediately rejects their help, because he knows his seniors won't do anything without profit; if he accepts their help they'll force him to work overtime for them. So he refuses their offer with a laugh.
After finishing work at night he reaches home exhausted from overwork, and goes straight to bed.
Night — 2:00 AM
Hunger wakes him up.
"Ahh… looks like I fell asleep without eating. After so many days I finally slept, and now it's gone."
When he goes downstairs to get something to eat he sees someone standing at his window, their face hidden by a scarf, staring into the house. He tries to call out.
"W-who is it?"
There's no answer. Suddenly the figure at the window looks toward him and runs away. Thinking it's a thief, he chases after the stranger. The stranger runs a long way and then stops at a spot. Thinking this is the right chance to catch him, the man reaches out — but as he does, he falls forward toward the ground. All he manages to grab is the scarf from the stranger's hand, and then the stranger disappears into the ground.
"Ahh… my head and body hurt so much."
When he opens his eyes, he finds himself in an unfamiliar place. Around him are yellow walls that make his head throb if he stares too long, a wet carpet, and fluorescent lights on the ceiling that emit a constant, irritating buzzing sound.
"Where am I and what is this place?"
He thinks he's been kidnapped and starts trying to get out. After running for a long time he notices that he keeps wandering in circles and ending up in the same place. This drives him mad and he begins to scream.
"Get me out of here!!"
He didn't know that his screaming would be terrible for him. From behind him comes a shouting sound that does not sound like any human voice. When he turns around he sees…
