Devil's contracts always contain traps, and Mephisto is especially good at them.
For example, if you want it long…
Granted!
But the devil makes it as thin as a chopstick.
For example, if you want it thick…
Granted!
But the devil makes it as soft as noodles.
"It" refers to a sausage, don't overthink it.
Johnny Blaze, young and ignorant, signed a contract with the devil. His father's cancer miraculously healed, but he died in a motorcycle stunt show shortly after.
The devil was behind it.
It was as if Johnny accelerated his father's Death.
With his father dead, and having signed a contract with the devil and sold his soul, he had no choice but to leave the girl he loved.
Johnny couldn't understand why the devil would target him.
Despair constantly Entanglement his heart.
So, he repeatedly challenged danger, challenged the impossible, and yet emerged unscathed from crises time and again. Besides "Blazing Johnny," his other nickname was "Lucky Johnny."
How ridiculous, it was clearly because the devil didn't want him to die.
Why?
Wouldn't it be better to just complete the contract if he died?
Could the devil have become a good nanny, saving lives and healing injuries?
It wasn't until he met the devil again recently that Johnny finally understood. He was essentially the devil's enforcer on Earth.
Johnny would not yield.
But as the devil said, he had no choice.
"Who is it?" Just as he was troubled, Johnny heard a knock at the door.
His partners were not the type to politely knock.
Johnny immediately became alert.
"Hello, I'm Agent FDI…" a rather magnetic and gentle voice said.
Someone next to him interjected, "Don't use a fake identity at this point."
Another person said, "I think using a fake identity is better. If you say 'Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division,' who would know?"
S.H.I.E.L.D.'s reputation only became widely known after the HYDRA incident and the Avengers' battle in New York.
The gentle voice seemed annoyed, "You do it, then."
"I can't, I'm too handsome, it's easy to cause resentment from other males."
"I can't either, same reason."
Coulson felt his cerebral blood vessels were about to burst.
He could only endure it.
Coulson felt that even if Mephisto appeared before him at this moment, he wouldn't be surprised. Because there were two devils among humans right beside him.
Taking a deep breath, Coulson said again, "Hello, Johnny Blaze, I'm S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Phil Coulson. We just want to talk about what happened to you. We have no ill intentions; we're here to help you."
Johnny originally intended to jump on his motorcycle and crash through the door to escape, but the conversation outside the door eased his mind slightly.
They didn't seem to be vicious people.
Johnny slightly pulled back the curtain and peeked out through the gap.
The person knocking was a middle-aged man, with a gentle face, just like his voice. He wore a neat suit, looked a bit tired, and most importantly, had no weapon in his hand.
The other person's side profile was all Johnny could see, and he felt that the small mustache was very familiar, the name was on the tip of his tongue, but he couldn't say it.
The last one was a handsome young man, playing on his phone. He suddenly turned his head, looked towards the window, gave a polite and professional smile, and then lowered his head to continue playing on his phone.
Coincidence, or was he discovered?
After thinking for a moment, Johnny opened the door.
"Who are you?" Johnny asked.
"S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Phil Coulson." Coulson introduced himself again.
"Billionaire."
"Handsome guy."
But the introductions from the latter two were not very serious.
Johnny's gaze fell on Stark: "You're that Stark! Iron Man!"
Upon being recognized, Stark immediately beamed: "Woohoo! As expected, I have fans everywhere. Do you want an autograph? I usually don't give autographs to male fans, but I can make an exception today."
This guy was naturally fond of living in the spotlight.
Johnny gave an awkward laugh.
He was clearly not a Stark fan.
Mike laughed heartily: "Haha, this is the West, nobody likes sissies!"
Coulson's face darkened: "Can we go inside and talk?"
Johnny had more or less let down his guard: "Please come in."
After entering the house, Stark sniffed, his gaze falling on Johnny's Harley motorcycle. His fingers traced the flame pattern on the bike: "Tsk tsk, Harley Ultimate Tomahawk, cool!"
Mike remembered that Stark's garage housed two vintage Zero motorcycles.
Stark's words immediately made Johnny feel a sense of goodwill.
Among men, complimenting his ride is always a safe bet. It's like trying to please a woman by complimenting her handbag. Of course, this 'ride' refers to a proper vehicle, not an opposite-sex 'ride' used to instill positive energy.
Coulson: "Hello, Mr. Blaze, it's good to see you again."
"Call me Johnny or Blazing Johnny." Johnny showed a thoughtful expression, "Have we met before? Sorry, I don't recall."
"Just last night, the one who flew away in a car," Coulson said.
When transforming into Ghost Rider, Johnny was not unconscious, so when he woke up the next day, he had memories of what Ghost Rider had seen and heard. These memories were usually disjointed and existed in the form of silhouettes.
"Oh, it was you, sorry." Johnny remembered, but he "saw" only the back of Coulson's head, so it was normal not to recognize him.
Johnny said gloomily, "So you saw me turn into a monster, that wasn't me, that wasn't me at all."
He smiled bitterly, "Please believe me."
Coulson: "We believe you?"
Seeing Coulson say that, Johnny became half-believing, half-doubting: "Really?"
"More real than pure gold." Coulson showed a confident smile, "Believe us, S.H.I.E.L.D. is a professional agency specifically designed to deal with supernatural events. But first, I need to know exactly what happened to you."
Johnny remained silent for a long time, finally recounting what had happened to him. In fact, it wasn't the first time he had told others his story, but he had only received responses like "crazy," "didn't take your medicine," or "insane."
Having suppressed it for so long, Johnny actually had a strong desire to confide. With a little guidance from Coulson, Johnny almost completely opened up.
Coulson took notes very seriously. He asked Johnny, "Did that devil say his name?"
Johnny shook his head, then asked in surprise, "You believe in the existence of devils?"
"Of course." Coulson smiled, "It's funny how people pray to God every day but don't believe in the existence of devils. Actually, we not only believe devils exist, but we also know their names."
"Mephisto, the powerful Lord of Hell."
Whether it was a misconception or not, when he spoke the name, Coulson felt the light dim slightly.
Ignoring Johnny's shocked gaze, Coulson continued to ask, "So the devil's mission for you is to find Blackheart and then destroy him?"
Johnny nodded.
"Who is Blackheart? Why did the devil make you destroy him?"
Johnny shook his head again.
Coulson looked at Mike.
Mike said, "Blackheart is Mephisto's son. It's probably a drama where Mephisto is old but doesn't die, and his son is impatient and wants to inherit the inheritance early. I'm guessing, haha… Can devils still be filial to their parents?"
