Mike turned back, staring coldly at the U.S. soldiers: "I don't care if you're doing this for the benefit of the great United States of America, or simply because you dare not disobey orders. If you point a gun at me, you must be prepared to die."
Terrifying killing intent burst from his eyes beneath the mask.
If Hulk and Abomination had scared them to the point of wetting themselves, making them wish they could turn and run immediately, then Mike's killing intent made them feel like they had fallen into an ice cellar, their bodies unresponsive and unable to move.
Two different kinds of fear.
These soldiers wanted to cry, 'Mom, this World is too dangerous, I want to go back to the womb.'
Several soldiers tremblingly lowered their muzzles.
"Soldiers!" General Ross's furious voice boomed, "Do you want to face a Military tribunal? In war, running away is more disgraceful than defeat..."
"Sigh." Fury's voice suddenly appeared on the Military's communication channel.
"Fury." General Ross immediately recognized his old rival's voice. "It's you again, stirring up trouble! Is the masked man your subordinate?"
"How could that be!" Fury immediately denied it.
In fact, he wasn't lying, was he? He was Mike's employer, a contractual relationship, not a master-subordinate one.
"Really?"
"I'll stake Coulson's life on it, alright?"
Coulson, who was currently on a mission, sneezed. "It feels like there's a strong sense of malice."
General Ross felt that something was off, but knowing Nick Fury, he understood that this matter was related to him.
Look! He even infiltrated the Military's communication channel.
Lawless!
Fury sighed: "Although he is not my subordinate, I advise you, he really will kill people, and he has the ability to kill people. General, your ideals are different from mine, but I don't want these soldiers, who are dedicated to serving their country, to sacrifice themselves needlessly. I imagine you wouldn't want that either."
As a general with real power, Ross might make mistakes, but he wasn't foolish. He looked at Mike, who exuded a strange aura, and Abomination, whose eyes were filled with violence and cruelty.
Then he looked at Stark, who was dragging Hulk.
"Everyone retreat, expand the encirclement, block the intersections, and help evacuate the civilians." Ross gave the order, then changed his tone and said to Fury: "This matter isn't over, Fury, you just wait."
Fury scoffed and cut off communication. Would he be afraid of such lines as "Don't leave after school" or "I'll be back"?
Ross took out his Night Vision binoculars and stared at the masked man.
The masked man was holding a long, delicate-looking blade.
"Using a blade? Is he crazy?" Ross didn't know Abomination's strength, nor did he even know that Abomination was Bronski; he was still muttering about whether Bronski had deserted. But to use such a flimsy weapon against a monster... Heh heh.
Ross was a Military man who admired strength, and therefore looked down on the scrawny but intelligent Bruce Banner—he had no masculinity at all, and what was even more unbearable was that Banner had captured the heart of his only daughter, Betty.
So Ross relentlessly pursued Banner, not only wanting to gain Hulk's power but also seeking personal revenge.
It could be said that Ross's views were consistent with Bronski's, except that the latter was entirely self-serving and extremely radical.
One of the reasons Ross ordered his soldiers to retreat was that he felt the masked man had no chance of winning. After the masked man was smashed, he could express his regret to Fury in a hypocritical tone—that feeling would surely be satisfying.
Hmm, he still thought Mike was Fury's man.
Mike held the hilt, the tip of the blade pointing downwards.
"What does he want to do? This isn't a stance for fighting with a blade. Does he know he's outmatched and has given up?"
Ross thought to himself, then saw the masked man release his grip, and the long blade fell.
Then a miraculous scene occurred.
The blade tip didn't hit the concrete ground but seemed to merge into it, finally disappearing completely.
"Bankai! Scatter, Senbonzakura Kageyoshi!"
Mike chanted the release command, and a corridor formed by giant blades appeared behind him. Immediately, the giant blades disintegrated, transforming into countless pink petals.
"This..." Ross rubbed his eyes, thinking he was hallucinating, then saw his soldiers also had expressions of "So beautiful, but actually I'm going crazy, right?"
Mike beckoned to Abomination, "Don't you want to kill me? Why aren't you moving? Do you want to kill me with your eyes, or quietly wait for me to die of old age?"
The already irritable Abomination became even more frenzied. He picked up a concrete pillar; judging by the exposed rebar at the end, it seemed to be a load-bearing pillar.
"Roar!!!" Abomination swung the pillar over.
Bang!
Mike shifted sideways, dodging the concrete pillar. Abomination seized the opportunity to jump, intending to swat Mike to death from the air.
But just as he jumped, pink petals wrapped around his ankles.
Thud!
Abomination fell to the ground.
"Large frame, large build, greatly increased strength, but no corresponding increase in speed, and defense..."
"Gōkei: Senbonzakura Kageyoshi!"
The swirling petals covered the prone Abomination.
Abomination pressed his hands to the ground, letting out an unwilling roar, and actually broke free from the 束縛 on his feet.
But it was destined to be futile; as soon as he broke free, more petals immediately covered him. When all the petals had enveloped Abomination, they formed a giant pink sphere.
Mike extended his palm: "Sabaku Kyū... Sabaku Sōso!"
Huh, did I misread the line?
Don't mind these details.
As Mike moved, tiny blades attacked Abomination from all angles.
Abomination's roars came from within the pink sphere.
Slowly, the roars grew weaker.
Finally, silence.
The pink petals fluttered away.
Abomination lay on the ground, his body covered in dense wounds, oozing dark green blood.
"What tough skin and bones."
Abomination's heart was still beating strongly; despite his miserable state, his injuries were not severe.
"Gōkei really isn't suitable for dealing with thick-skinned guys. Hey, ugly monster, don't play dead on the ground." Mike said.
Abomination slowly got up from the ground. In just a few seconds, the blood from his wounds had turned black and clotted, no longer flowing.
Although Abomination was easily angered and had a strong desire for destruction, he retained Bronski's intelligence and personality. Gōkei's attack indeed did not cause fatal damage, which calmed him down. Otherwise, he wouldn't have been lying on the ground pretending to be seriously injured just now.
Unfortunately, Mike didn't fall for it.
"Try this then, Senkei: Senbonzakura Kageyoshi."
The petals swirled and dispersed, replaced by long blades emanating a pink glow.
A thousand blades!
If tiny blades weren't destructive enough, then try bigger ones.
Abomination felt apprehensive, mainly because the pink petals were so annoying; it was hard to even get close to Mike, so how could he fight?
If he defeated this annoying masked man, there was still the Military... Wait, I'm also part of the Military!
Abomination suddenly spoke: "General, I am Bronski, your subordinate."
Although his voice was rough, it sounded like, "General, I'm your little darling."
How shameless.
When things got tough, he became part of the Military.
Why didn't Abomination reveal his identity immediately when he first appeared?
It's simple: Bronski understood Ross. If he fell into the Military's hands, he would definitely become a test subject in a laboratory.
Having just gained immense power, he was feeling inflated; how could he be willing to be someone else's experiment?
Now... after being severely beaten, he had calmed down and only wanted to escape.
