Chapter 41 - 41

When Mike woke up, the blonde was curled up in his arms, and the chocolate beauty was resting on his shoulder.

The scene was beautiful and high-definition.

Yesterday... Oh, right! The two of them tested all afternoon, and in the evening, Stark called a group of female friends for a party, and then Mike got drunk.

Don't ask why Mike, with his superhuman physique, would get drunk.

If you ask, it's not the wine that intoxicates, but the person themselves.

One can only say that it is indeed Stark; his taste is too good. You can find all the beauty you desire in them. The temptation was too great; either refuse or get drunk.

Must get drunk!!!

Stark was leisurely lying on a beach chair by the pool, with twin sisters applying sunscreen to him.

Mike had two questions:

First, the Sun wasn't even strong, was it necessary to apply sunscreen? It was clearly just enjoying the process of being applied.

Second, is the Arc Reactor waterproof? If so, what is its waterproof rating? If it accidentally falls into the pool, does it need to be rescued?

The twin sisters were very beautiful; Mike had seen them on magazine covers. Their eyes were a bit strange, and then they went swimming.

"Are they... okay here?" Mike asked inexplicably, pointing to his head.

"No problem... Being simple-minded has an advantage: it's not easy for problems to arise."

Stark's gaze was full of resentment. Having been a playboy for over twenty years, Tony considered his skills good, and everyone who had used them said so. But last night, the two girls in Mike's room screamed at high notes all night, which made the quiet Stark very embarrassed. It was the first time he hated how poor the soundproofing of the guest room was.

Stark sighed, Rhodey was still better. He looked brave, but in reality, he was only a three-second true man.

"Hiccup!"

Colonel Rhodey, who had just finished a press conference, rubbed his nose, "Who's talking about me behind my back?"

Then, in one second, he locked onto the culprit: "It's Tony, it must be Tony! It has to be Tony!"

Rhodey's face was ferocious, and he snorted. He was the Military's liaison to Stark Industries. When Stark announced the closure of the weapons department, the liaison became awkward.

Moreover, Stark showed no signs of changing his mind.

Being scolded like a grandson in front of his superiors and painstakingly lecturing Tony like a father, Rhodey was very uncomfortable, feeling like he was on the verge of developing a split personality.

Obadiah was equally uncomfortable. Obadiah had been with Stark Industries for so many years and still had connections. These people might not be good at getting things done, but they were definitely good at messing things up.

Therefore... aside from not being able to appear in public, Obadiah still lived a life unattainable by ordinary people, with mansions, luxury cars, fine wine, and beautiful women.

At this moment, Obadiah was communicating with someone via video.

The person on the other side was wearing a well-tailored suit, and their face... was pixelated, giving the impression of watching a small video.

Of course, presumably, Obadiah also appeared pixelated on the screen opposite.

Both of them also had voice changers on.

A perfectly serious large-scale conspiracy scene was made to look very comical.

Why make it so complicated? Ultimately, it was because the two did not trust each other.

"I have already secured the support of over one-third of the major shareholders and signed a concerted action agreement. The rest are not truly supporting Stark; they are just fence-sitters, leaning wherever the profit is. Justin, you are the chairman of Hammer Industries. You couldn't be clearer about the shareholders' true nature. As long as Stark goes crazy again, the shareholders will definitely defect."

In Obadiah's view, closing the weapons department was one of Stark's crazy acts. He was hiding and watching the news, and he laughed like a goose on the spot. Stark truly rowed without oars, relying entirely on the waves, practically handing over a chance to turn the tables—at least that's how Obadiah saw it.

"You're right, the problem is, how can we make Stark go crazy? Although he always goes crazy intermittently, how can normal people know when a madman will go crazy?" Staring at the screen, Justin wanted to laugh, because after Obadiah's facial features were pixelated, his entire head looked like an egg, "It's better to just get rid of him directly."

"I want to do that too, but after he came back from Afghanistan, his security became even tighter. I think... this isn't the first time you've wanted to get rid of him, and I'm sure you've acted on it more than once. Were you successful?"

The answer goes without saying. Today's entertainment headlines: "Tony Stark's Marbury Mansion Party All Night."

Stark was living very comfortably.

At this point, the faces of the two people in the video were not looking good, feeling stifled, but luckily, the pixelation blocked it, so the scene wasn't awkward.

"So what should we do?"

Unless absolutely forced, Justin did not want to use assassination methods.

If you start it, don't blame others for finishing it.

It's as if others can't afford professional killers.

Justin usually just funded Stark's enemies.

"Her!"

Obadiah took out a photo, "Do you know who she is?"

"Of course, Virginia Pepper Potts—Tony Stark's assistant."

Speaking of Potts, Justin gritted his teeth a bit. He had dealt with Pepper countless times. This blonde girl occasionally said something that could make him lose his appetite. "So what?"

"Haha." Obadiah laughed loudly, "No one might believe it if I say it, but Pepper is Stark's weakness, his biggest weakness. Hahaha... A playboy, actually developing true feelings for a woman, how ridiculous, how pathetic!"

"Are you sure?"

"Sure, Stark values Pepper more than his own life. I'm very clear about this, unfortunately, I realized it a bit late, but late is better than never." Obadiah felt he had found the key to solving the problem.

"So you're going to kidnap Pepper?"

"No, you are." Obadiah said, "You do it. I'm a wanted man, it's inconvenient."

After a moment of silence, Justin was tempted, but as a shrewd businessman, he always wanted to gain more benefits for himself.

"What's the benefit of doing this? It should be said that Stark Industries is Hammer Industries' biggest competitor, and closing the weapons division should benefit me. Thanks to Stark, Hammer Industries' stock has risen a lot."

"Haha~" Obadiah laughed, "To tell you the truth: as soon as I take over Stark Industries... no, Stane Industries, I will immediately restore the weapons department and expand its scale, continuing to compete with Hammer Industries for market share. Are you afraid to compete with me?"

Justin smiled, thinking, "Afraid of what?"

Obadiah said faintly, "I am clearly the co-founder of Stark Industries. I want to take back everything that belongs to me."

Justin inwardly scoffed, "You're just Howard Stark's follower. He pitied you and gave you the title of co-founder. Otherwise, why isn't it 'Stark & Stane Industries'?"

In fact, how much stock did Stane actually have? When Howard died in a car accident, Obadiah took over Stark Industries until Tony turned twenty-one. Was Obadiah truly willing to give up his position back then?

Obadiah kept comforting himself: "Tony Stark is a goose that lays golden eggs; his existence is beneficial to the group's development, and I am the true emperor behind the scenes of the group."

This kind of self-deception continued until recently, when Obadiah felt everything gradually slipping out of his control, which is why he decided to physically eliminate Stark.

Obadiah continued, "Think about how Stark humiliated you in public. Can you swallow that? Compared to that, what is money!"
