Chapter 3 - Memory Palace!

Academic overlord keywords must be synthesized!

100 hours of 100% focused study. With the "Student" keywords buff, concentration isn't an issue, and 100 hours, even one hour a day, is at most 100 days.

"If it really takes 100 days, then there's no hope..."

Before, he had only roughly skimmed through it; now he intended to study it meticulously.

With the 'xueba (academic overlord)' keywords, Shuichi Hoshishita quickly immersed himself in his studies, completely focused.

The content of the scroll was extensive, and it was evident that much of it had been added later, not created all at once.

From Chakra refinement, Shuriken throwing, and the Three Body Technique, to various matters a Ninja needs to pay attention to during missions, and then the explanation of two Fire Release Ninjutsu.

It was incredibly detailed.

However, just from the Chakra refinement section, Shuichi Hoshishita quickly determined that his father was far inferior to Yakushi Nonou in this aspect.

This was not surprising; Yakushi Nonou was a Medical Ninja after all, and now a Jonin, her skill level was vastly superior to a Chunin.

But even in Chakra refinement, Shuichi Hoshishita still gained some insights from the scroll.

Time passed bit by bit, and as the alarm clock rang, it was four o'clock in the afternoon.

Shuichi Hoshishita looked up, his mind slowly disengaging from the scroll.

One word: amazing!

Two words: utterly exhausted!

Not only was his mind and spirit fatigued, but his body also felt weak, as if he had been completely drained.

He weakly pressed the alarm clock, then stumbled to get some food.

Fortunately, there was plenty of leftover food from lunch, so he didn't lack for sustenance.

After a hearty meal, Shuichi Hoshishita felt revived and couldn't help but sigh, "High-intensity focus can't be maintained for long. I'm already worn out after just over two hours. My body is still too weak."

He packed two bento boxes and two bottles of saline solution, then Shuichi Hoshishita leisurely left, strolling to digest his food while heading to meet Might Guy.

In the Konoha grove, after meeting Might Guy, the two began their afternoon training.

Running laps around the grove, handstand laps, push-ups, side-to-side jumps, straight punches, kicks, and finally, sparring.

After completely draining their stamina, the two lay on the grass, panting heavily as they gazed at the stars in the sky.

"As expected of my eternal rival, Shuichi!"

Might Guy suddenly grinned.

Whether it was training or sparring, Shuichi Hoshishita had not fallen behind at all.

Listening to Might Guy's words, Shuichi Hoshishita wanted to retort, "Kakashi is your eternal rival…"

But he said, "Effort will not be in vain, Might Guy. I haven't fallen behind you in effort!"

He was best at motivational speeches.

Of course, Shuichi Hoshishita knew even better that while ninety-nine percent effort was important, that one percent of talent was what determined one's ultimate height.

Therefore, he had to acquire both the 'xueba (academic overlord)' keywords and the 'strong and healthy' keywords.

Not only that, he also needed to trigger more keywords.

Otherwise, how could his ordinary self compare to a genius like Kakashi, how could he contend with Danzo, and how could he compare to the cheat-like Uchiha and Ōtsutsuki?

With their stamina slightly recovered, the two stood up, took out their bento boxes, and began to devour their food.

Three bento boxes were completely emptied, and Might Guy even licked his bento box clean.

Growing boys eat a lot.

The inheritance left by his parents, coupled with the Village's subsidy, was entirely sufficient for Shuichi Hoshishita's basic needs.

But anything beyond that was not possible.

How could he make money?

He was too young!

Shuichi Hoshishita's thoughts wandered as he chatted with Might Guy all the way home, their occasional laughter startling a few birds.

It was nearly eight o'clock when he returned home. After washing the bento boxes, Shuichi Hoshishita took a refreshing shower and washed his clothes at the same time.

And the time had come to half past eight.

After preparing a late-night snack in advance, Shuichi Hoshishita sat at his desk, set an alarm, and once again plunged into highly focused study.

At 11 o'clock, the alarm rang.

Shuichi Hoshishita weakly turned off the alarm, then quickly devoured the prepared late-night snack.

After eating and drinking his fill, he walked around the house to digest, while simultaneously reviewing the contents of the scroll in his mind to deepen his memory.

"My memory is much stronger than in my previous life. Perhaps I can try the Memory Palace technique I trained in my past life."

Whether it was due to the transmigration or the inherent nature of a Ninja, which made his memory far superior to his previous life, Shuichi Hoshishita felt it was necessary to try the Memory Palace.

Especially since the Ninja World had Genjutsu, cursed seals that could block the brain, and Sealing Technique.

When he had largely digested his food, the time had just reached 12 o'clock.

Lights out, bed.

In less than a minute, Shuichi Hoshishita quietly fell asleep.

On April 2nd, at 5 AM, Shuichi Hoshishita woke up promptly.

He washed up, went out for a run, and bought groceries and breakfast.

After preparing his lunch bento and eating breakfast, Shuichi Hoshishita, carrying his bento, entered the Ninja Academy at 8 AM and arrived at the first-year, Class 1 classroom.

There was still half an hour until 8:30 AM, and the classroom was empty. Shuichi Hoshishita didn't mind, found a seat, and then lowered his eyes to begin attempting to construct his Memory Palace.

As time passed, the classroom became lively.

Kakashi Hatake, Rin Nohara, Kurenai Yuhi, Asuma Sarutobi who was always sticking to Yuhi, Aoba Yamashiro, Ebisu, and people from various large and small Ninja Clans such as the Ino–Shika–Chō, Shimura Clan, Uchiha Clan, and Hyuga Clan.

Clearly, this Class 1 was an "elite class."

When Might Guy arrived in the classroom, Shuichi Hoshishita finally opened his eyes and saw Shizune sitting next to him.

"Hello, my name is Shizune!"

Shizune, still with a bit of baby fat, greeted him proactively.

Shuichi Hoshishita immediately smiled, "Hello, Shuichi Hoshishita!"

It seemed Hime Tsunade had not yet left Konoha!

After chatting briefly with Might Guy and Shizune, the bell rang, and a young man wearing a green vest walked into the classroom.

The classroom gradually quieted down. The young man's gaze swept over the little sprouts in the classroom and he smiled, "Hello everyone, I am Kimura Kōya. From today onwards, I will be your homeroom teacher."

"Now, everyone, let's go together and collect your textbooks!"

A group of people followed Kimura Kōya out of the classroom to collect textbooks, and it was at this moment that Uchiha Obito rushed in.

Kakashi Hatake's sharp tongue struck: "You almost didn't have any textbooks left!"

Uchiha Obito was indignant and didn't have time to retort when Rin Nohara quickly said, "Obito, hurry up and catch up!"

Hmph!

With a soft hum, Uchiha Obito followed Rin Nohara.

Only after receiving the textbooks did Shuichi Hoshishita realize that the Ninja Academy's curriculum was quite extensive.

"Chakra Analysis," "Hand Seals and Chakra," "Secrecy and Codes," "Traps and Tracking," "Introduction to Genjutsu," "Three Body Technique," "will of fire," "Ninja Way," "Konoha Annals," "Ninja World," "Introduction to Fuinjutsu," "Mathematics," "Mechanics," "Biology and Poisons"…

There were as many as twenty courses. Although this covered the entire six-year Ninja Academy career, it was still a considerable amount.

"will of fire" and "Ninja Way" were ideological and political classes, while "Konoha Annals" and "Ninja World" could be considered history classes.

Besides these, all were specialized courses.

This included courses like "Mathematics" and "Mechanics," which Shuichi Hoshishita had never previously considered.

Are they useful?

Shuichi Hoshishita thought carefully. Courses like Mathematics and Mechanics are indeed useful for a multi-skilled mercenary-like Ninja.

Whether it's for combat, assassination, or becoming a spy.

Carrying a large stack of textbooks, Shuichi Hoshishita felt he needed to re-evaluate the profession of a Ninja.
