Before Shinsu can finish, his face slams into the floor with a bone-cracking thud. A blue, misty hand presses down on the back of his skull, crushing him into the dirt.
He grunts, trying to lift his head—but the pressure forces it right back down. His ears twitch as a low, knowing chuckle echoes above him.
"Been a while, hasn't it, other half?"
The voice drips with amusement.
"I mean… how long has it been? A millennium, at least, I'm sure of it."
The blue figure laughs as he steps back, effortlessly hoisting Raikou over his shoulder like a sack of feathers. His steps are calm—too calm. He walks in circles, savoring the moment while Shinsu lies there tasting dirt.
Shinsu spits it out, standing up with a sudden grin spreading like a crack splitting across stone.
"You truly are right, other half. But tell me—how's that boy Ren doing?"
"I did a number on him when he was fifteen, didn't I? Good old times. Shame I couldn't finish the job. But I guess even our kind knows trash when they see it. Right other half?
The demon grin widens until it bursts into an uncontrollably laughter, quickly turning to wickedness.
The spirit freezes. A single tear glides down his face before his fist clenches tight enough to crack.
"You reallya bastard huh" he growls, pointing a firm finger at Shinsu.
Shinsu wipes the tears of joy from his eyes and looks up, grin sharp enough to cut air.
"All that talk but now look at you. I can just tell you wanna meet that trash so badly you'd even cry. Pathetic".
Shinsu claps. "Tell Ren I hope he burns in hell. After you'll see him swiftly.
Before the spirit can react, Shinsu vanishes—reappearing high above, his shadow swallowing the ground below.
The spirit only moves his eyes, glaring at the cackling demon. The spirit eyes glow purple.
A faint smirk tugs at his lips.
"Don't be so arrogant."
He disappears just as Shinsu comes crashing down.
