Chapter 12 - Ch12- Night Watchers

Rahul had administered the Power Potion to all the Night Watchers. Each of the more than 100 members became superhuman, though none matched Rahul's own level — he had taken the most refined and potent version of the potion himself. With it, Rahul could now run 100 meters in just 3 seconds, reaching almost a tenth of the speed of sound. He had entered the realm of true superhuman capability.

The Night Watchers, while not at Rahul's peak, were still extraordinarily powerful. They possessed enhanced speed, strength, reflexes, and endurance, making them perfect instruments for executing his orders. Over the past months, they had trained relentlessly, honing their skills and synchronizing as a single, lethal unit.

Recently, Rahul assigned them their first official mission: to eliminate a rebellious faction that had suddenly risen within the human kingdom. This faction aimed to overthrow the crown prince and establish a democratic or alternative government — a notion Rahul could not allow. Their ambitions were dangerous, and though they were clever and resourceful, Rahul intended to teach them a lesson through the calculated intervention of his Night Watchers.

This mission was also intended as a warm-up exercise for his elite team. Rahul knew the operation would challenge them, test their coordination, and refine their abilities in a real-world scenario. It was time for the Night Watchers to step out of the shadows and demonstrate their lethal efficiency — and Rahul would be watching every move.

Night had fallen over the human kingdom. The moon barely illuminated the sprawling city where the rebellious faction had taken refuge, planning their clandestine meetings and plotting against the crown prince. Unbeknownst to them, the Night Watchers were already in motion.

Over 100 superhuman operatives, enhanced by the Power Potion, moved like shadows across rooftops, streets, and alleyways. Their speed and reflexes were near impossible to track with normal human perception. Rahul observed them from a concealed vantage point, his eyes sharp and calculating, ready to intervene if necessary.

The faction was heavily guarded. Leaders were surrounded by loyal men, trained in combat and aware of the dangers of exposure. But the Night Watchers were not ordinary opponents. They split into smaller units, each assigned to a specific task:

Neutralization team — target the faction leaders directly.

Extraction team — capture intelligence and secure key documents.

Sabotage team — destroy any communications or resources that could alert reinforcements.

In seconds, the Night Watchers were inside the faction's compound. Moving faster than the eye could follow, they incapacitated guards with non-lethal but incapacitating strikes, paralytic darts, and silenced weaponry. The leaders barely had time to react before they were restrained and immobilized.

Throughout the operation, the superhuman reflexes of the Night Watchers were evident. One operative scaled a wall, bypassed guards, and disabled surveillance devices in moments. Another intercepted a messenger attempting to flee, subduing him with a single precise strike. Each movement was a dance of efficiency and lethality, choreographed by Rahul's pre-planned strategy.

By the end of the night, the faction had been completely neutralized. Leaders were captured, key documents seized, and their stronghold left in disarray. Not a single Night Watcher was injured, and no evidence of their presence remained. The operation was flawless.

Afterward, Rahul debriefed the team. He praised their efficiency but reminded them that true power was not just physical strength — it was discipline, intelligence, and absolute loyalty. This mission had been a warm-up, a test of coordination and precision. He knew that as his empire expanded, far more dangerous threats would appear, and the Night Watchers would have to operate with even greater skill.

By the dawn, the human kingdom remained unaware of the disaster averted. The faction had been wiped out silently, their rebellion crushed before it could even begin. The Night Watchers returned to the shadows, leaving only whispers of their existence behind — and Rahul, watching over everything, knew that his first real test of control had been a complete success.
