Chapter 1 - Ch 1

Rahul Vekas found himself surrounded by medieval walls. He started remembering that last night he was partying with his friend, but now he was here. Suddenly, some memories flashed in his mind, and then he remembered everything. He had now taken over the body of the third prince of the Human Kingdom.

This world was so big that even the sun of the last solar system was equivalent to or smaller than this world. That showed how vast the landmass was.

But humans were not the masters of this world. Humans were only slaves of one race known as the Orcs. Even the Orcs were not the true masters, for there were several other races here.

The human population was around 500 million, and all of them were slaves to the Orcs. They were forced to do minor work like mining, providing food for the Orcs, or even being sacrificed as meals for the Orcs to enjoy.

Human life here was exactly like in the 1900 A.D. of the last world—no infrastructure, no modern facilities.

But you know, after all these issues, Rahul was not sad. In fact, he was happy—he was excited. In his last world, he was never able to fully utilize his passion. He loved biological modification, biological engineering, and genetics. He loved creating creatures.

Now, in this new world, he thought that with his knowledge, the infinite number of species around him, and even human sacrifices, he could finally make his own creations—his own living samples. He would love to do everything it took to build the perfect organism.

Rahul loved biology, and here, he finally had the chance to pursue it without limits.

However, Rahul was also aware that if he created some lifeform that could endanger or extend life on this planet, then even he would not be safe. So he needed to find good test subjects, a proper laboratory, and strong security to keep those samples contained—at least until he learned how to control them.

But how could he do that?

First, he needed to understand his status in this world and decide what he would do in the future. Before anything else, he had to find out who he truly was here.

It took around three hours for Rahul to recover all the memories in his head. Now he was aware that he had taken over the body of a man known as Rok's son—Rob. Everyone called him Rob. He was the third prince of the Human Empire.

Yes, humanity had only one empire in this world, with a population of 500 million, and Rob was the third child of this empire. But there was a catch: the throne would always be inherited by the crown prince. The rest of the princes would simply receive their share of land and opportunities after the succession.

There was no such thing as a fight for the crown, as there had been in medieval times. Humanity here had united for survival alone. And so, whether capable or not, the crown prince would always become the emperor of the kingdom.

Suddenly, while Rahul was slowly regaining his memories, another fragment came to him—one that made him truly excited.

There was something in this world called a Realm. Yes, a Realm. It was like a separate world, often as large as Earth, that would randomly connect to this world. Over time, the Realm would merge into the main world, becoming part of its vast landmass.

It was just like the novels from his previous life, where a primordial world would collide with Earth and eventually become one with it. The same thing happened here.

And this thrilled Rahul, because he realized he could use these Realms as his foundation for biological modifications.

Of course, humanity, being enslaved, had very little access to such places. Only the major races—like the Orcs, the Zerophants, and others—controlled most of the Realms and dungeons.

But still, there was hope. Smuggling into them was possible. In fact, it wasn't even that difficult, since humans were sometimes required to collect certain items from these dungeon-worlds.ROB suddenly heard a voice from outside. He immediately knew who it was—his elder brother, Ben, the second prince of the empire.

Ben and ROB shared a good relationship, just as all the brothers did. Since there was no fight for the throne, there was no rivalry between them.

"ROB, what's your plan?" Ben asked. "The crown ceremony will be held by the end of this year. After that, we will have to decide our lands. Have you chosen yours? Which land do you want to take? We need to come to a mutual conclusion so we can start managing our territories and our companies. We also have to think about the kind of work we'll be doing."

ROB, recalling this memory, had already thought of an answer. He pointed to a location on the map. "I think I'll take this area."

The land he chose was surrounded on all four sides by mountains.

Ben looked at it and frowned. "ROB, are you sure? This area is completely enclosed by mountains. It's not very important, and only a small population lives there."

"Yes, I'm sure," ROB replied calmly. "I will take this land. I have some work in mind, and it's better for me to be separated from the rest of you."

Ben was a little surprised, but he nodded. "Alright. Then, we'll discuss this with Father the day after tomorrow. We'll finalize the areas we'll govern for the next ten years. After that, the ownership will pass on to others, and with whatever wealth we've earned during that time, we'll continue building our companies and looking after ourselves."
