The icebergs in Antarctica has been melting due to the increase of the earth temperature progressing the rate of flooding in nearby cities and countries. Several Scientist and environmentalist have claimed that due to the rapid growth of civilization and technology, the planet is becoming more unhabitable for humans and animals alike. Moving over to the economical aspect of the country, there has been several protests and riots all around the country tasking the government about the way prices of commodities and stocks have been skyrocketing these days. The governor of the Central bank of America, Collins Warden as informed us we citizens and business individuals to be calm and to wait for this issue to be immediately addressed*...

I stood at the parlour watching the news broadcast on the television, taking notice when the journalist mentioned about the stock the market and it's depletion. Though I currently invested some part of my money on this stock market mentioned, seeing it crumbling to the ground madey heart ache.

My thoughts were suddenly interrupted when my father called out to me. "The world is becoming full of crap isn't it, Michael..." I turned my gaze back to my dad at the dining, seeing him also watching the news. Though currently at his early 50's, he still looked the same ever since. Trim cut black with a well defined face and grey eyes which carried a dept of understanding and experience I couldn't quite picture.

"Some are even saying the end of the world is near, Rapture will happen soon enough, it's all on social media", I replied with a shrug. My dad gave a small laugh before replying me with a solemn tone "I pray rapture should happen soon, so those family of my mine who doesn't trust in the lord can go rot in hell". I looked at him with pity, even though he said those words, I knew deep down he still cared for them and still goes to their villa to preach the gospel telling them to offer their lives to Christ. But I knew all to well, that they will always turn him down with insults, mockery and blasphemy. And to make matters worse. They chased us out of the house just when I was still six years of age because of a crime my dad didn't commit leaving us with nothing but ourselves.

It was really hard for my dad to stand up to his feet to offer us food, clothing and shelter. And for the suffering my parents went through, I hated those extended family of mine. I hated them to the guts, they only care about their reputation, nothing more."Besides why are you back so soon from college, you said you were recently having some lectures", my dad asked after he gave his solemn statement. "Oh... I came back to check on Sarah at the hospital, I wanted to see how she has been recovering", I replied with a smile on my face.

Before my dad could answer back,my mom came out from the kitchen dressed in an apron. Though in her late 40's, she still looked as beautiful as she was before she gave birth to my little sister. With a long blonde hair, rounded cheeks and sharp mesmerizing blue eyes. She looked stunning. "Was someone talking about Sarah?", She asked both of us with a tired look," I was about to go there to offer her these beautiful flowers," she said as she gestured to the vase of flowers at the dining table, "But, I have got to go to work ". She completed with a sigh. Though working as a receptionist in a far away company, I find it strange that she of all people is late. "I will go give it to her at the hospital, besides aren't u late to work?". I asked her with a questioning look . My dad which was still watching the news suddenly spoke to my mom, "Go dress up fast, I will drive you to the company". " Oh... Thank you darling". She replied as I watched her hurry down the corridor. " I will get going now", I said as I picked up the flowers from the dining table. My dad quickly stoped my pace with what he said next. " Send our greetings to Sarah, tell her to stay strong that she can overcome this strange illness of hers". He told me with a half smile.

Walking out of the house, I nodded to my dad's statement to meet a cool breeze outside. I knew the winter season was just around the corner this coming December. I strolled along the street enjoying the fresh sight around me, seeing the big boys play basketball, some children nearby playing soccer, and not until a couple passed by me. Listening to their conservation made me felt awkward, I wouldn't lie, still in my early 20's, I have been a loner ever since. I don't know what's wrong, it's not as if I am ugly or anything like that, to be honest, I myself am a pretty decent fine looking young man that any girl would want to date, so... What's the problem, why haven't I dated a single girl once in my life. I stopped walking along the path road waiting for a taxi. I didn't wait long before I got one, entering inside I couldn't help but frown when I heard the same female voice from the news broadcast back at home talking from the radio.

Sitting comfortably, I told the driver where I was heading to, taking my earpiece from my pocket and listening to a cool music, I couldn't trouble myself with this world full of crap after hearing the female voice from the radio. Nothing in this world matters to me apart from my family. Arriving at the hospital which didn't take long, I offered the driver his pay before walking forward to the main hospital entrance. Finding a nearby receptionist, I asked whether I could immediately see my sister, she looked up at me with a calm gaze, examining my expression before replying " Sarah Silver.. at room 37, 1st floor... Currently she has a visitor at the moment, a relative just like you, perhaps u should wait." When I heard the word 'relative', I entered into a deep state of thought, it was only I, Mom and Dad who comes to visit her regularly, if it was her school mates, the receptionist would have said so. But hearing her say relative made my stomach turn. " Did the person say his or her name", I slowly asked the receptionist. Looking back up at me, she hesitately replied " Yeah... Marcus Silver, is there something wrong". Immediately I heard that name, I felt as if I was having nausea, rage flared inside of me clenching my fist so hard that my knuckles turned white, I couldn't still forget that goddamn day that my father, Mom and I were thrown out of the house all because of this same bast*rd who accused my dad stealing money from the company which made us almost bankrupt. My grandfather had no choice but to send his first son away which was my dad with nothing. Assuming my dad haven't had allies and employees from the company, I don't know where we would be right now. And then hearing this same Marcus visiting my sister, I couldn't help but feel vexed. Though angry inside, I didn't let it show on my expression, giving the receptionist a calm smile, I walked away fr
