Chapter 2 - Yu Tian

As the five of them were still engrossed in serious discussion, the sound of footsteps was heard from the direction of the stone corridor in the pavilion.

His steps were slow, steady, but his charisma was felt even before he was seen. A handsome man, as if emerging from a classic Chinese ink painting, walked towards them calmly.

A warm yet majestic aura followed him like a shadow.

Yang Mi, Reba, Liu Shishi, Zhao Liying, and Bai Lu all turned their heads at once. As soon as they recognized him, they stood up almost simultaneously and greeted him.

Yang Mi hugged him first, followed by the others who greeted him with relieved smiles.

Yang Mi asked, looking at him attentively, "Honey, how was your meeting?" "

Zhao Liying spontaneously moved to brew him warm tea, her hands deft as if she were already accustomed to serving without formality.

Yu Tian accepted the cup and sat down comfortably, but his eyes showed seriousness.

"I've already instructed Brother Xi," he said calmly.

"This is related to the fact that I detected Japan dumping its nuclear waste into the Pacific Ocean last night."

The faces of all five of them immediately changed. No one spoke right away, but their expressions of surprise were clear.

Yang Mi took a deep breath and spoke carefully.

"But if the problem is... You won't intervene directly, right?"

Yu Tian smiled faintly—not a light smile, but a kind of acknowledgment that they had accurately read the situation. "It seems your intuition is sharp. What I'm worried about right now... in almost all the major dragon veins in the world, I feel a release of Yin Qi that is higher than usual. Slow but steady."

Reba exchanged glances with Bai Lu, while Zhao Liying clasped her own hands in her lap.

Yu Tian continued, his voice low but clear, "With the Japanese actions last night, I'm worried that the nuclear radiation will affect their dragon veins. If the Yin Qi there is contaminated by nuclear radiation, the consequences could be disastrous."

The faces of the five women immediately tensed. Worry felt like a cold mist that enveloped the air.

Bai Lu, who is usually soft-spoken, spoke softly but fearfully,

"Darling... is this a sign that Ghost Revival is going to happen? Like I often read in webnovels? "

Yu Tian nodded slightly. "Currently, I am monitoring the development of dragon veins around the world. We will wait until after this year's Ghost Festival before making a decision. But if the increase in Yin Qi over the next few months reaches 20% every day... then it can be concluded that Ghost Revival will happen."

All five of them reflexively swallowed. Without being told, they each picked up their phones.

Their fingers quickly opened the Tian Dao website—the platform where practitioners take missions, discuss in forums, and trade cultivation needs.

The website was born from Yu Tian's idea and submitted to the government when the internet began to develop ten years ago.

They checked the mission page, forum, and situation report. A few seconds felt like minutes.

Only after seeing the number of daily missions not increase and the forum remaining stable did a sigh of relief appear on their faces.

However, the unease hasn't completely subsided.

Yu Tian looked at them one by one, then said calmly but confidently,

"You don't need to worry about this. As long as I am the National Master of China... I will not let our country be threatened, let alone our family."

Those words were like a warm blanket in the middle of winter. A slow smile appeared on their faces. One by one, they approached and took turns kissing Yu Tian's lips.
