Chapter 2 - chapter 2: Realization

Five years had passed since the infant had opened his eyes for the first time. The child now walked steadily, laughed, and spoke in the language of this world — but inside, Fang Yuan's mind had slowly begun to awaken. Memories were fragmented, like shards of glass glinting faintly in his golden eyes.

He observed everything. His little sister, now ten, played outside, laughing under the sun. His parents carried on with their daily lives, oblivious to the calculating gaze of the child who seemed… older than his age.

It was during a routine walk through the nearby woods that he first sensed it — something different, something beyond ordinary human presence. A faint ripple of power, elegant and cold, brushed against him like a whisper in the wind.

For now, he remained a child in appearance, blending with the world. His family would notice nothing. But Dark eyes followed the faint trace of power in the distance, studying, memorizing.

Immortals exist. One day, I will surpass them all. One day, I will unlock everything this world has to offer.

The system still slept, waiting for its true trigger: the birth of his first child. But Fang Yuan had already begun the first step — observation, understanding, and calculation. In a world of mortals and immortals, he would ensure that when the time came, he alone would control the rules.

And in the heart of a six-year-old child, ancient thoughts and immortal ambition stirred quietly, patiently… waiting
