Chapter 21 - Help me My Alpha

Days later

I was roaming the halls, searching for Yoona-maa, when I saw a familiar figure-Ari-running, her shoulders trembling, tears streaming down her face.

"Ari!" I called, chasing after her.

I found her at last, collapsed against a pillar, crying alone beneath the cold night. My heart broke at the sight. I laid a gentle hand on her shoulder. She flinched violently.

"What happened?" I whispered.

Her lips quivered.

Ari:"He... his parents... they're fixing his marriage. With someone else."

Yn:My breath caught. "What-? Did you talk to him?"

Ari:"I didn't get the chance," she choked out. "And I think... we have to let him go."

Yn:But then my eyes dropped-and froze. She was caressing her stomach.

My heart thundered. No... it can't be.

"Ari..." My voice broke. "Is it true?"

She nodded, tears spilling fresh.

Without a thought, I pulled her into a fierce embrace.

My arms wrapped around her shaking body, consoling her even as my own heart splintered.

Sadness burned in my chest until I could hardly breathe..

I can't let her face this alone..

I have to talk to Jungkook.

Next Day:

Yn's POV:

I hadn't seen the Alpha yesterday. I waited for him… but he didn't come to the palace. At some point, I drifted to sleep, and when I woke up

I am angry at myself for falling asleep while my friend's life was in such a delicate, dangerous situation.

How could I rest when Ari's future was trembling on the edge of uncertainty?

I stepped out of the room quickly, my footsteps echoing through the empty halls. My heart felt restless, searching, pulling me forward..

I stopped when I found Yoona Maa in the garden, the gentle morning light spilling over her figure as she worked with the plants.

Yn:"Maa… have you seen His Highness?" I asked quickly, almost breathless.

Yoona looked up at me, her expression soft.

Yoona: "I heard he returned early this morning from the territories," she replied.

"But I don't know where he is now, Yn. Why? Did something happen? Is everything alright?"

Her voice carried genuine worry.

Yn:I forced a smile, though my heart was pounding.

"Nothing happened, Maa. I just wanted to know where he was… I didn't see him yesterday after he left for court."

But then… she walked closer, her hands curling warmly around my hands. Her eyes searched me.

"Yn… is everything truly alright with you?" she whispered.

"I mean… that night, we heard everything. We were terrified. I know what it was, but…

you must know that sometimes, when the beast inside a true-blooded Alpha fully awakens, he might hurt his claim. Did that happ—"

I cut her off with a smile, shaking my head gently.

Yn:"There's no need to worry, Maa. His inner Alpha has fully accepted me. We've grown… so close these past months." My words softened, sincerity spilling out.

"And I don't think I need to explain more, because you, of all people, have experienced everything personally."

and You know bond between Inner beast and His Omega

But then, something flickered across her face.

Something—like a shadow passing her expression.Something close to read. It reminded me of the way Jungkook's expression shifts

suddenly, concealing more than it reveals. It amused me, and yet… it unsettled me.

Yoona:"Alright then," said quickly, her tone shifting back to normal. "I'm going, Yn. I have to collect herbal leaves."

Yn:I stood there quietly, watching her walk away. There's something about Maa that always amuses me, I thought.

The love she holds for Jungkook—even though he is not her own son. And the way His Majesty never denies her words… it tells me their bond inside the chambers runs deeper than the world will ever know.

I left the garden with a smile, but inside I was restless again. My eyes scanned the corridors as I walked through the palace halls. My heart whispered, Alpha, where are you?

The air shifted suddenly. A familiar scent brushed against me like a soft caress, wrapping me in safety, in comfort. It filled me, calming the storm in my chest.

My lips curled into a smile of pure relief. He's here near to me but where !?

I searched quickly, following the pull of the scent, until my eyes landed on a room.

Without hesitation, I pushed the door open and slipped into the library, closing it smoothly behind me.

There he was.

MY ALPHA

Jungkook sat at the long table, fully concentrated on the books before him. His broad shoulders relaxed, yet commanding, his eyes moving steadily over the inked lines.

He was reading about the victories of the Jeon dynasty—centuries of power and legacy.

I walked slowly toward him, my heart beating against my ribs, my fingers clutching the fabric of my dress nervously. I stopped beside him, gathering the courage to speak.

Yn:"Your Highness…" My voice was soft, almost trembling. But he---

But he didn't respond. Not a word. Not even a glance in my direction. He just kept reading, eyes fixed on the book. Confusion laced my chest.

Why isn't he responding? Did I… upset him somehow?

My voice wavered, desperate. "Alpha…"

This time, a low hum escaped him, but his eyes never left the page. The small acknowledgment only made my restlessness grow.

Anger pricked inside me. Without thinking, I reached forward and snapped the book shut right in front of him.

"Jungkook! I want to talk with you."

The name slipped from my mouth before I realized it. The sound of it shattered the silence, heavy and forbidden. My breath hitched.

My eyes widened in horror. Did I just… call him by his name?

I closed my eyes, cursing myself for such recklessness. Stupid, stupid…Today he'll kill me Sure for this.

But When I opened my eyes again, he was no longer seated. He was standing right in front of me.

My lungs froze..My body stilled..His height towered over me, his gaze unwavering as he leaned closer, pressing his palms on the table, caging me in.

Panic surged..
