Asuka held a long-handled ladle in her hand and gently stirred the soup in the pot, the soup swirling under the ladle.
As she skimmed off the foam, she tossed out a sentence without turning her head.
"You've broken up with your boyfriend?"
Ryuzaki Makoto was stunned when he heard this.
This really choked him.
He didn't expect Asuka to suddenly say something so nonsensical.
Asuka tilted her head slightly, raised her eyebrows, and a mischievous smile played on her lips.
"Not saying anything? Looks like I was right?"
Ryuzaki Makoto couldn't help but laugh in exasperation at her smug look.
The woman was making fun of the tense atmosphere he had when he came in.
Ryuzaki didn't argue, but instead reached out with both hands and, without warning, reached for the soft flesh around Asuka's waist.
The fingers scratched nimbly.
"ah!"
Asuka gasped in surprise, nearly dropping the spoon.
She laughed and dodged backward, twisting her body from side to side in the cramped kitchen space, trying to escape those mischievous large hands.
But her strength was nowhere near that of Ryuzaki Makoto.
Asuka's body went limp, and she could only laugh and pant, weakly patting Ryuzaki Makoto's shoulders as she begged for mercy.
"I was wrong... Ha... I really... I was wrong!"
Ryuzaki stopped what he was doing, his large hand still wrapped around her waist, holding her tightly in his arms, and looked down at her face.
"What's wrong?"
Asuka rested her head against Ryuzaki Makoto's chest, took a few quick breaths of fresh air, and then raised her head. Her eyes were glistening with tears, and her voice was soft and pleading.
"I shouldn't have teased you... Please forgive me, President."
Seeing her submissive demeanor, Ryuzaki Makoto stopped.
The crisis is over.
Asuka breathed a sigh of relief.
Then she suddenly leaned closer, turned her head and gently bit Ryuzaki Makoto's neck.
"You're so naughty, you spilled the soup."
She released Ryuzaki Makoto, turned around, picked up a rag, and quickly wiped up the few drops of soup that had splashed on the stove.
Then turn off the gas stove.
"Click".
The flames went out.
Asuka ladled out a bowl of hot soup and placed it on the table with both hands.
"Zhen, drink it quickly, it's freshly brewed."
Ryuzaki Makoto picked up the porcelain bowl, and without using a spoon, he simply brought it to his lips and blew on the layer of hot oil.
Then he tilted his head back, his Adam's apple bobbing.
"Gulp."
He gulped down the whole bowl of hot soup in one go.
Put the bowl down; the bottom of the bowl is completely clean.
Asuka looked at him reproachfully.
"Zhen, don't rush, it's bad for your stomach. Aren't you worried about it being too hot?"
Ryuzaki Makoto casually wiped the water from the corner of his mouth with the back of his hand, looking at the woman in front of him whose eyes were full of him.
He smiled, the corners of his mouth turning up.
Then Ryuzaki Makoto stopped talking and bent over, exerting force with his arms.
He scooped Asuka up in his arms and carried her straight away.
As her body was lifted into the air, Asuka instinctively let out a gasp and tightly wrapped her arms around Ryuzaki Makoto's neck.
She knew what was going to happen next.
She didn't speak, but obediently buried her head in Ryuzaki Makoto's broad chest, listening to his steady and powerful heartbeat.
Ryuzaki strode out of the kitchen and headed straight for the bedroom.
"Bang."
The door closed.
Soon after, suppressed gasps filled the bedroom.
...
An hour later.
The room returned to silence, with only the ticking of the clock remaining.
Ryuzaki leaned against the headboard and lit a cigarette.
Asuka, like a lazy cat, lay on Ryuzaki Makoto's bare chest, her fingers unconsciously tracing the contours of his firm muscles.
"Really, are you feeling better now?"
Ryuzaki exhaled a smoke ring and reached out to pinch Asuka's pert nose.
"How did you get the idea that I'm unhappy?"
Asuka stretched out her finger and drew circles on Ryuzaki Makoto's chest.
"I am your bedmate. When you walked in the door, even if you were smiling, your brow was furrowed."
"You were clearly preoccupied just now, even though you didn't say anything."
Ryuzaki Makoto paused for a moment, then stubbed out his cigarette in the ashtray and let out a hearty laugh.
"It's nothing serious."
"I went to see some old friends."
"It's just a bit of a feeling of nostalgia."
Asuka looked up and met Ryuzaki Makoto's eyes.
She was a smart woman; she knew that Ryuzaki wasn't the kind of man who liked to confide his troubles and seek comfort.
He didn't say anything because he didn't want to worry himself.
Since he says it's a small matter, then it's a small matter.
All she needs to do is be the one who provides him with a warm haven when he's tired.
Asuka's lips curved into a charming smile as she leaned closer to Ryuzaki Makoto's ear, her breath sweet as orchids.
"Since it's a minor matter, let it go."
"Tonight, I want to make you even happier..."
As soon as he finished speaking, the waves surged around him.
