Chapter 5 - Chapter 3

The mournful cry of the boss thug intensified as Viola put all her weight on that area, completely stepping on him. Her next step just happened to land on the man's bleeding wrist without his hand attached and for a moment, the boss just wanted to faint but couldn't because of the pain. Every male present subconsciously closed their legs, their thighs pressing together as their groins field cold at the sight and sound of the thug boss' mesirable outcome.

Viola moved her gaze to the other thugs, lips raised in a smile with her eyes squinted lazily. Her face spattered with blood appeared gorgeous like a blooming poppy- completely alluring.

"Do you want me to bring you to heaven too?" She asked but her soft voice was louder than thunder in the ears of those thugs. They clamped their legs tight, desperately shaking their heads as they backed several meters away from the mad woman who still had their boss beneath her feet.... Literally.

Viola clicked her tongue, shooting them a bored glance before deliberately stomping hard on the man beneath her. She listened at his pained shouts with satisfaction, giving one last stomp before getting off him and kicking him with disgust. Everyone felt cold at the anguished cries of excruciating pain of the man. Although they all thought that he totally deserve it for messing with someone he shouldn't, they still felt pity because surely, that man will no longer be able to produce any next generation. They heard his balls pop and that last two stomps definitely ended whatever chances he had left for recovery.

"Clean them up, I'm going home." Said Viola to her bodyguards who were pretending to be decorations until now. They promptly and silently moved, 'taking care' of the rest of the thugs with expert ease. Packaging them together and sent them to the door of the police station. They packed up the writhing boss on the ground, thoughtfully picking up and tucking his severed hand under his shirt before sending him off to the door of the nearest hospital. Some of them 'politely' talked to the crowd spectating in the bar, giving them 'gentle' warnings (threats) and 'advice' (more threats) to keep their mouths shut about what happened in the bar. But that was no longer Viola's concern as she walked off the establishment, not caring if her bodyguards followed or not. Her steps were steady and soundless, akin to a cat silently padding on the ground. The cold air enveloped her body but she didn't seem to care. Too lazy to wait for her bodyguards, she got into her car, got the engine started and drove off despite her increasing dizziness due to the amount of alcohol she had consumed. It was fine before because she remained seated and was not moving much so she wasn't feeling the effects of the alcohol then. But the moment she got up and started to move, that's when the effects of the many bottles of alcohol she drunk came into being. She knew driving under the influence of alcohol was a bad idea but does she care? Obviously, no.

Viola sped fast though several cars, drifting into corners recklessly. She's already very reckless while sober, and she's even more so under the influence of alcohol. Her sharp eyes were gleaming as she stepped on the gas pedal, speeding on the busy road, not caring about the traffic lights. Her beautiful hands gripped the steering wheel as she raced though the highway. She was enjoying the high brought by the blur of the places she past though and didn't notice the huge truck driving towards her at a very fast speed. The driver of the truck was completely wasted, drunk out of his wits and knowing only how to step on the gas pedal while shouting on top of his lungs with the music. By the time Viola noticed the oncoming truck, it was already too late. With a loud crash, Viola felt the wind get knocked out of her and her vision darkened.

The honks of the cars blared and the gasps and terrified screams of the people who witnessed the incident filled the air as the truck completely swept the flashy purple Cayenne as it barreled though the road, stopping only when it crashed with another truck, completely deforming the purple Cayenne in the middle. And Viola? Well, she's deader than dead. Her body has been squished, bones crushed. It would be a miracle if she could survive after having her car crushed between two trucks at full speed.

But of course, like the usual cliche reincarnation novels, this is how this story officially starts.

Viola's eyes fluttered open after feeling someone nudge her for the nth time. She expected to see herself in hell, mayber surrounded by wailing souls in a pit of fire, but no. She found herself floating in a black void of nothingness. She turned to look at who was nudging her and blankly stared at the floating entity in front of her. It was a ghost.

Viola "...."

Viola blinked, looking closely at the entity Infront of her who looked almost identical to her. Except she looked way too soft and submissive for her liking. And the fact that she's wearing some frilly gown with lace designs. Viola's brows furrowed and the entity timidly looked at her which made her frown turn into a scowl.

"Don't use my face to make that kind of expression." Viola said and the entity shrank..

"T..this is my..my face." It whispered, timidly glancing at Viola who got goosebumps at the sight of the entity who looked like her act so timidly.

"Who are you?" Viola asked.

"I..I'm Violet... Violet de'Ville" She answered timidly. Her purple hair obediently draping her palm sized face, making her appear more delicate.

Viola clicked her tongue.

"Of course we even share the same surname." She scoffed.

"Where is this?" Violet blinked, looking at Viola innocently..

"..The Void." Viola rolled her eyes at the answer.

"Why are we here?" Viola asked, changing the question. Violet glanced at Viola, fidgeting as she nervously rubbed her fingers on the lace of her gown.

"That.. I.. I brought us here.." Viola squinted her eyes, making Violet more nervous..

"I... Don't be angry... " She sniffled, timidly glancing at Viola.

"I'm.. I'm from a world with magic.. and.. and I.. they.. they deliberately.. deliberately harmed me and I.. I died.." she glanced at Viola again, seeing that she's listening, she mustered the courage to continue speaking.

"B..But because.. because of my magic.. i.. my soul didn't.. didn't dissipate immediately... And then.. then I saw your soul drifting off, about to dissipate.. so I..I brought you here in the void.. and that you look like me so I.. I nudged you until you wake up.." she explained..

"That's it?" Viola's asked with a brow raised. When she saw the timid Violet nodded, she had the urge to smack her forehead with a facepalm.

"...."

"So what's this magic you speak of? And why did whoever it was who designed your death kill you?" Viola questioned, intrigued by the magic this Violet speaks of.

"T.this.." On her delicate hand, an ominous orb of darkness glowing purple that made the void suddenly feel cold and creepy formed. Viola's eyes lit up, wanting nothing more than to have that magic for her own. Imagine the terror she could cause just showing it.

"And.. and they killed me b..because they said.. they said I'm a villainess... A monster.. and that I harmed Rose.. " Violet whispered, the grievance on her voice couldn't be ignored and the orb of darkness on her hand dissipated much to Viola's disappointment.

"So... Who's this Rose?" Viola asked, oblivious to the grievance in the voice of Violet. The poor thing bit her lips, tears threatening to fall from her fawn like eyes.

"Rose... Rose is an orphan adopted by my father because her father died while saving my mother and father." Violet face was nearly colored with disgust upon hearing that

"Cliche. Let me guess, since she got to your house, you got ignored and blamed whenever she got hurt?" Seeing Violet's eyes widen, Viola felt exhausted. She doesn't even need to hear the answer.

"H.. how did you know?" Came the question that confirmed her speculation. Truly, it's a cliche, a very common plot like those brainless novels she had read before.

"Does she have light magic or something?" Violet's eyes widened further and she looked at Viola with awe..

"How did you know? Do you have magic too? Like precognition?" Viola rolled her eyes.

"Touche. This is so cliche." Viola felt her head ache despite being in a completely ghost like entity.
