But just then, a furious roar came from deep underground. Shadow had been awakened.
Black energy shot out from the cracks, forming the shape of the giant claw covered in scales. It reached for Logan's back.
At the last moment,
Logan pulled out Yepera's bone with his left hand and Black Dragon's bone with his right. He crossed them in front of him. "I knew you would attack from behind!"
As he spoke, the runes on the two bones activated on their own. Golden and black energy twisted together, forming a semi-transparent shield.
"Dual Bone Sky-Blocking Shield!"
The huge claw slammed into the shield, causing a loud explosion.
The shockwave exploded, breaking the top of the altar. Logan coughed up blood and was sent flying back.
But the shield successfully blocked the attack. He landed and rolled, suffering only minor injuries and no serious damage.
