Chapter 39 - Chapter 39 Soma, Kill Yourself

When the Loki Familia marched across several districts with great fanfare, countless members of the Dark Faction were terrified, thinking these terrifying individuals were coming for them.

When they realized the Loki Familia's target was the Soma Familia, the Dark Faction instantly rejoiced, laughing out loud on the spot.

Although the Soma Familia only had one Lv2, in their development over the years, their numbers had rapidly expanded, becoming a presence that ranked throughout Orario!

However, although recognized as a legitimate Familia by the Guild, their reputation was rotten in both the righteous and underworld factions.

The righteous faction detested their underhanded thievery, kidnapping, and all sorts of evil deeds, but they could never find evidence.

The underworld faction despised their petty squabbles, a group of arrogant drunkards who were all scum, not even fit to be cannon fodder.

If it weren't for the current captain, Charnis, secretly bribing various parties with the profits from private alcohol sales, someone would have probably already been tempted by the profit and made a move!

Now, although these individuals didn't know why the Soma Familia was targeted by the Loki Familia, people from both sides happily cursed, saying it was a good thing. The only ones unhappy were probably those drunkards and beneficiaries.

Gareth narrowed his eyes, staring at Charnis on the ground, whose limbs had been severed and who was wailing in pain, seemingly consumed by extreme fear.

"Severing arms and legs in an instant…"

Riveria looked around the room, which showed no signs of a struggle, and quickly reconstructed the battle scene in her mind.

"Rhode must have appeared suddenly before him and ended the fight with a single move."

Too shocked by the young man's growth, Riveria couldn't help but open her mouth wide.

"Although this guy isn't considered strong among Lv2s, Rhode just joined the Familia…"

Ais hugged her arms, her cold, pretty face seemingly showing a hint of secret pride.

"I told you, Rhode is very strong, but none of you believed me."

Gareth and Riveria exchanged a bitter smile.

Having witnessed the monsters at the pinnacle of humanity in the Zeus and Hera Familia, and personally seen the extraordinary growth of a genius like Ais, their psychological threshold was already quite high.

However, Rhode's speed of progress, no, his speed of ascension, was completely outside the realm of their imagination!

It was as if the entire Grace system's level structure had been directly shattered into pieces and tossed into the sky…

Infiltrating a Familia alone, silently incapacitating all its members, and instantly beheading the captain… No matter how you look at it, such an exaggerated feat doesn't seem like something a newcomer could accomplish…

Finn was now staring intently at the letters spread out on the table in the room, his gaze sharp.

"This guy indeed had financial dealings with the Dark Faction, and even had an inside man within the Guild. With this evidence, other Familia and the Guild won't have much to say about our actions this time."

Riveria reluctantly stopped Charnis's bleeding. After all, this guy was a witness, and his head might contain some information.

"Can we use those letters to locate other Dark Faction strongholds?"

After reviewing all the documents, Finn shook his head regretfully.

"Their contact method is one-way. The Soma Familia is not a core group, so besides convicting the Soma Familia, there's no other use for them."

Finn stood up, handed a stack of documents to Gareth, took the spear from his back, and his sharp eyes looked directly at Charnis, who was trembling on the ground, seemingly scared into a daze.

"Gareth, please go to the Guild and then invite specialists to inventory the Soma Familia's supplies."

"I will be responsible for extracting all the information from his head. As for Riveria, I hope you go find Rhode."

Riveria was a bit confused. Finn sighed softly, remembering the evil deeds he had seen in the dossiers, and forcefully suppressed the anger in his heart.

"Don't forget, there's still a root cause of this Familia's existence that hasn't been dealt with yet…"

"But the members and the captain are all here…"

Riveria's face changed dramatically.

"Wait, Finn, are you saying…?!"

Without Finn needing to remind her further, Riveria grabbed her staff and ran.

She searched frantically, her expression anxious.

Rhode, please don't be impulsive!

Bang—

A short sword flew through the air, grazed Soma's cheek, and pierced the wine jar in front of him.

"God Soma, kill yourself."

Holding the unconscious Lily, Rhode spoke casually.

Inside the room, there was a cabinet large enough to cover an entire wall, filled with plant seedlings and transparent wine bottles.

This was the deepest part of the Soma Familia's winery.

Soma was a young god of medium build. His slender physique gave an impression of delicacy. His loose, robe-like clothing was stained yellowish-brown at the sleeves and hem from dirt.

He was currently sitting on the floor, hugging his knees, muttering to the wall.

"Self-management… punishment… interest…"

Rhode walked to the cabinet, indifferently running his hand over the wine bottles on the shelves, his expression cold.

"Are you playing dumb? If it weren't for the fact that you once took care of Lily, I wouldn't leave you with this last shred of dignity."

There were gods in this world that he utterly detested.

For those gods, being sent back to heaven was an eternal prison where they could almost never satisfy their curiosity again.

But in Rhode's opinion, that was far too lenient for them.

The Lower World of this world… was not without things that could kill gods.
