'NO! Why the fuck does it want me to awaken now?'
See, I didn't really have a problem in Awakening, but I didn't want it to happen now. Because then, I will not be able to participate in the Awakening Ceremony.
So, I started screaming inside my mind to stop the Awakening.
'Cancel it, Delete it, Bad Boy, Fuck it.'
But nothing happened, the countdown kept going on.
Seeing my effort going to waste, I did the next best thing I could think of right now.
I looked at my sister, and our eyes locked, because during all this time, she was looking at me through the blue holographic screen. Then my hands moved as I held her shoulders, before quickly moving into her room and closing the door behind us.
My sister didn't even speak a single word during the entire event. She could have simply dodged my hands, or just have stood rooted there, and I wouldn't have been able to move her.
But she did not do a single thing like that.
And right now, I didn't care about anything more than hiding my Awakening. So I chose the best option present to me, my sister.
"Can you isolate this room from others, Sis?" I asked, urgency visible on my face.
"Yes," She replied, looking at me.
"Can you do it then?"
She looked at me for a second before replying, "Ok."
As she ended her words, darkness started to spread from the heel of her foot, enveloping the whole room, plunging it into darkness. Light was lost from my eyes, and nothing could be seen, not even an outline of anything.
The feeling of not being able to see suddenly, with the darkness covering my eyes, felt very eerie and unsettling, sending shivers down my spine.
As though listening to my inner thoughts, a fireball appeared where the ceiling lights were present. And it lit the dark room.
The darkness retreated, now lining walls and floors only, making me able to see my sister clearly once again.
"Can anyone outside the room sense anything happening here?" I asked, looking at her.

"No," Aurelia replied to Eden's question, as her heart started to beat faster.
"Ba-dump...!" "Ba-dump...!"
'Why is he isolating us from others?' She couldn't help but have lecherous thoughts about the whole situation they were in right now.
'Is he going to do it with me?'
She knew that doing so with him, before the Awakening Ceremony, was not possible. Because then, her brother wouldn't be able to get the blessing of the goddess, and if known to the church, he would be labeled as a heretic by the church. After that, only the goddess knows what they will do with him.
But if he wanted to do it with her, there was no way she was going to refuse him.
While Aurelia was lost in her own wet fantasies, Eden was looking at the countdown.

"Here," He muttered, giving the core in his hand to Aurelia, still looking at the timer.
But the timer didn't stop. It kept going.
"Sigh," Seeing this, a sigh escaped from his lips.
He then looked at Aurelia again, who was also looking at him, while clutching the Essence core, but something about her gaze made him shiver.
He then shook his head, throwing back all the nonsense thoughts, and directly said to Aurelia, "Sis, I think I am going to Awaken."
The reason why he was being so direct was that there had been cases during the past in the world of Aelmyra when people who had awakened knew that they were going to awaken. But the cases were rare, very, very rare.
Listening to his words, Aurelia came out of her fantasy and looked seriously at him.
She looked at his body, but found nothing out of the ordinary.
Seeing nothing out of the ordinary, she brought her hand to his stomach, but she didn't feel any Essence.
She couldn't help but doubt. Is his brother lying, or is he playing jokes on her about his awakening?
But before she could voice her thoughts to him, she sensed the Essence around them converging towards Eden.
And this put her doubts to rest.
She then forced Eden to sit on her bed, as she stood in front of him and said, "Sit here."
And looking at him, she added in a worried tone, "It's going to be a little painful. So try to endure it."
"Ok," Eden replied, looking at the System screen.

As the countdown ended, a new text appeared upon the blue holographic screen.
[ Awakening begins... ]
The moment the words appeared on the screen, a shearing heat started to form from the center of Eden's stomach, coursing through his whole body, making him lurch forward a little.
As the Essence that was gathered around his body started to enter his body.
Eden was feeling a hot feeling around his stomach, as heat was coming out from the center of his stomach and was moving through every blood vessel present in his body.
Eden felt as though someone had put him on a stove, making his blood boil, as they flowed through his vessel.
The feeling was a little painful, but not something he couldn't handle. So he kept sitting there, with his eyes closed tightly, as he sweated profusely, wetting his whole clothes and bedsheet.
Aurelia was standing in front of him, with a nervous expression.
She didn't like that Eden was in pain, but she couldn't do anything. Because doing anything, even healing during the process, could lead to failure in the Awakening.
And failure meant crippling that person, or in the worst-case scenario, he/she would die, bursting like a balloon or in another painful way.
After a while, the heating lessened before vanishing completely, as Eden opened his eyes again, breathing heavily.
"Ha-h"
