Aurelia opened the door with a loud "Bang...!"
Breathing heavily, due to the long length, she covered in just minutes, as her chest was rising and falling faster.
"Haa...haa...!"
Her white shirt and black leggings still had blood clinging to them. As her black hair, tied in a bun, had loosened, some of her hair was clinging to her sweaty face, making her still look as beautiful as ever.
Her body was covered in sparks of blue lightning. As shadows were withering around her.
Listening to the loud bang, Amelia tensed in the kitchen, and as she came out hurriedly, she saw her daughter in the doorway, making her sigh in relief.
"Oh, Aur-"
Before she could complete her words, Aurelia cut in, her words hurried, filled with worry, affection, and need.
"Where...is he?...ha...Is he okay?...When did he wake up? Are there still any signs of injuries?"
She kept on with her rambling and questions, as her breathing steadied.
But Amelia didn't answer, instead, she asked a question herself, with a worried tone.
"Are you hur-"
But once more, before she could complete her sentence, Aurelia cut in and replied.
"No, I am not. It's an Essent's blood."
"But stil-"
"Mom, we can talk about this later. Why is he not here? When he woke up, already? Why is he still in his room?" She asked worriedly, as she looked up at the ceiling, sensing a presence above her.
"He is sleeping."
"But didn't you say he woke up?"
"He did, I bathed him and made him eat up, and then he went to rest, because he was tired, from our bath," Amelia said, as happiness bled into her tone.
"Oh, okay," Aurelia said, feeling clearly relieved.
'Bathed him...tired...from our bath.' She thought, as she looked at her mom.
Her gaze moved to her face, confused, before her eyes caught the sights of redness, bites, and hickeys on her neck.
"He bathed with you?" She asked, clearly not buying it.
"He did," Amelia replied, once more, as happiness bloomed in her heart.
Aurelia couldn't believe what her mother was saying, but the proof was undeniable. The redness, bites, and hickeys on her neck looked fresh. It was not the only reason that made her believe her mother.
There were others, like the happiness on her mother's face, and the fact that she knew that her mother clearly hadn't slept with his father for the last 3 days, from when Eden was unconscious, as she would heal him all night, and would cry until she fell asleep.
She couldn't help but feel jealous of her mother. She also wanted to kiss, hug, and do much more with her brother, but as he was still not of the age, she couldn't cross the line, but he didn't even like kissing or hugging her.
Seeing the inner turmoil of her daughter, Amelia couldn't help but tease her, "Don't tell me, are you jealous?"
"No."
"You are, aren't you?"
"No, I am not."
But Amelia didn't continue her teasing. As she was more worried about the blood covering her daughter.
She came near Aurelia, who was still standing in the doorway.
"Did you go to the forest alone again?" She asked, gazing at her with worry-filled eyes.
"No, my master was there."
Hearing this made Amelia relieved, because she knew who the master of her daughter was. She was the Headmistress of the top Academy of the Empire, The Zenith Academy, and also one of the people, at the peak of humanity, standing at the title of DEMIGOD.
But she still added in her motherly tone.
"You should still be careful while fighting monsters."
"Hm," Aurelia hummed in response.
"Okay, now go and take a bath. I will bring you your clothes to the bathroom.
"You know, he wouldn't like it when he sees you covered in blood," Amelia said, tucking a strand of her hair behind her ears, before rubbing her daughter's cheeks with her hand.
"Hmm," Aurelia once again hummed in response, before moving towards the bathroom.
As Amelia went into her room upstairs to bring her clothes.
...
"Blink...Blink...!"
I blinked my eyes open, as the same ceiling with the same designs and patterns once more entered my view.
'I am still here.' I thought.
Yeah, yeah, the same words every transmigrator says, just to sound genuine, after waking up from their first sleep. Well, you can just forget about some dumb guys, who take weeks to come to the conclusion that they are in another world.
Who cares where you are, just do whatever the fuck you can there, if you go back, at least you had some fun, so you will not regret wasting the time there.
Well, apart from the jokes, I really thought that I would wake up in my bedroom, with my pants wet with both piss and, well, you know what I am talking about. Oh, why the piss, well, because I died.
I was not that afraid during the death, but still, who knows what weird things your body can do when you are asleep, and are having an utterly nonsensical dream. And well that thing because, well, the reason will be, what I did with my now mother.
"Hah," I sighed, shaking my head, from these erratic thoughts.
I stretched lazily in my bed before standing up and going near the window of my room, as I moved the curtain sideways.
It was evening, just some hours prior to the night.
'I slept the whole afternoon.'
I just looked at the front lawn of the house for a few seconds before moving to the ground floor.
As I came down from the stairs and reached the kitchen door, I heard my mom.
"Oh, Eden, did you sleep well?" She asked from the kitchen, preparing food as a hot black hair girl whom I recognized, as my sister was helping her, both wearing an apron.
"Yes, Mom." I said, as my gaze moved towards the girl, who was watching me very intently, and I said, waving my hand, "Hi sis."
Aurelia, who was watching her brother's neck area, which was filled with hickeys and bite marks, with jealousy, was surprised when her brother greeted her.
As the previous Eden started to hate her because she would always meddle in his life, beating his friends or others who would say anything bad or hurt him, like she did with James, Baron's son.
That's also the reason why Amelia said to him not to hate her.
Seeing her brother greeting her himself, even though she was surprised. But she didn't let it show on her emotionless face, and gave him a sweet, genuine smile with a wave of her hand, "Hi."
Seeing her smile, which just made her even more beautiful, my heart couldn't help but speed up.
"Ba-thump...Ba-thump...!"
But before I can dwell more on what to say, I heard a soft male voice.
"Eden."
