Chapter 101 - The Language of Lilies

I stared at him.

Then I stared back up at the ceiling. I began to ponder my life as a whole, re-evaluating the meaning of my existence up to this very point of struggle.

"What?" I uttered.

"Rejection, disappointment, and parting, My Lady."

"What?" I repeated, my consciousness refusing to boot up.

"In short, this is bad, My Lady. Extremely bad."

I fell entirely silent.

My soul temporarily exited my body. It sat in a corner, floating aimlessly for a bit, and then, after growing bored of its own drama, re-entered my cute vessel.

I let out a harsh, heavy breath—as heavy as the massive burden of my life.

"So… what am I supposed to do?" my voice was faint, like a leaf that had just realized it wasn't a flower. "My handsome Duke has already delivered the flowers..." I pointed toward Duke Tristan with my head tilted drastically to the right.
