"I mean, I don't know the full story, but Evelyn and Lorenzo were a power couple," Kalliope says, sipping her wine with a half-smile.
"I hear the papers haven't even been officially signed," Bianca murmurs, slicing into her steak. "But Evelyn keeps telling everyone they're divorced."
"Maybe she's waiting to find a lawyer she can actually trust. One who's not on Lorenzo's payroll," Kalliope adds with a shrug, and I and Bianca both nod in agreement.
Cause yes, that makes sense.
Right now, I know that Lorenzo and Evelyn have been married for five years. Evelyn is a famous ballerina from a wealthy family, but three years ago, an accident left her with a knee injury that forced her to quit dancing.
It's… sad, really.
Kalliope and Bianca seem completely absorbed in the news, but my thoughts keep drifting back to Darius.
How long will it take for him to be back?
Should I call him… or text him?
