Still in the Varish capital Bairen the blue-eyed assistant of the merchant old half disabled man was standing by the door
It was obvious that inside the room the old man was having a serious conversation with some people, after some shouting a cup brock
It was followed by foot steps as the door opened with a force, some nobles left the room annoyed and angry
Bairen Knocked the door twice asking to come in
"You may get inside" replied the voice of an old man
On the old man's desk, stacks of papers covered the wooden table shifting the colour it had. The old man's face full of stress, his facial features were dark, his eyes unwavering from what lays in front of him
By him stood a big and strong guard of his
"Each of them asks for the same. Sigh…. "Said the old man
"Wish I guess goes against your desires and goals?" said Bairen
"Yes, here my work started, and here it shall stay, until the day one of us perishes," said the old man
He looked with his weak eyes at his frail hands, wrinkles covered his skin, he continued
"With my condition … I don't know if my health can handle the pressure of it anymore,"
"You don't have to" replied Bairen, the old man looked at him before he continued
"You remember the first day you took me in, I had nothing, I know that feeling best, I don't want to see it anymore, on you I mean by this" with a cheerful smile
He got closer behind the desk and spoke
"You can just tell me what is the problem and I can help you out on it" still smiling
"I just think, that sometimes brining you to this world was a mistake, you seem too pure for it" replied the old man
"Never too late to make a change in life" said Bairen
The old man was silent for a moment; he took a deep breath cleansing his thoughts before he said
"Ok, let me start from the beginning then"
Bairen took a seat and sat in front of him
The old man was still hesitant to speak out, but he did anyways for there was nothing left to lose
"The nobles have talked amongst themselves, seeing themselves as the majority they asked me to move all my works towards the great market temporarily or they are going to take off al fundings"
Bairen opened his eyes wide, but it seemed like he knew it in advance, he then spoke after regaining his composer "Wish will obviously leave us bankrupted"
"Yes…," said the old man
"This indeed is a tight situation, and ow much time do you have left?" said Bairen
"A month, don't try to go too hard on yourself about it, it is hard enough for me to keep them calm about the whole dying king situation" the old man
"Did word come out about it, that these nobles wish to take off they support and flee the capital"
"No, thankfully for if it did chaos will just grow larger, they have no influence over the capital and if it is heard they wish to harm it in anyway they would suffer sever punishments," said the old man
"That is weird" said Bairen, the old man stared up at him and spoke
"What is?"
"I don't think the king is stupid enough to miss this, I mean he has all the power over the land and the people, he or whoever is ruling would guess that the crown appearance will cause this"
The old man replied saying "I thought so too, but I heard from outside ears that the king is using many scattered forces to scout the land"
"You are saying his is focusing all his strength of mind and body on something else?" replied Bairen "But that seems stupid of him, all that matters is the kingdom Afterall,"
"I do think he is waiting to catch evidence on them," said the old man
"Like waiting till he sees them leaving throw the front door? But why scatter all those forces outside the walls" replied Bairen
The old man seemed even more hesitant to speak, Bairen noticed so two and said "Is there something I'm being left out of?"
"Just so you know, without knowing the whole story I can never help in the right way" said Bairen
The old man sighed and gave up keeping it inside
"This is a soft topic but, I heard from some trusted sources that in the Kazar, the lady of house Waster has been murdered right before the royal family's eyes"
Bairen was genuinely shocked this time
"What? In the capital? How?" said Bairen
The old man replied "The slaves that were sent with the great reader of this capita, must have been planning an escape, in while doing it she was killed in the process, a knife to the skull"
"Was she the only one killed?" said Bairen
"Yes" replied the old man
Bairen went deep in thoughts again, the old man noticed it and asked "What is it you are thinking about?"
"Oh I…, I just thought that the king might not be the reason she died, seeing how he spread his forces randomly outside like that, there might be a third force in between the Varish and the Kazar hiding its fangs"
"I thought so two, that must be the reason the king is warry of the outside much more than the inside," said the old man
"Yeh, and how long was the king spreading his forces in random directions for?" asked Bairen
"A month or so before we set march towards the capital—" the old man seemed to realise something is wrong "This seems weird" he said
"It is weird" replied Bairen "There is something that is happening behind the scenes that we don't know of"
Bairen looked up at the old man to see him deep in thoughts two, he wanted to stop the conversation so he said
"Thinking about it wont change our situation much anyways"
"You are right, lets go have a meal—" said the old man wanting to get up before he was stopped by Bairen who said
"Are you thinking of going outside? Like this" staring up and down on his weak physic
"Yes, why?" replied the old man
"Hold on a second" said Bairen going outside
He returned as the same moment holding a wheel chair made of iron and wood, on the seat a pillow of high-quality feathers for comfort of both the back and the bottom
"What is that?" asked the old man
"Why don't you try it, it is a new invention made here, in the capital" said Bairen
The old man stepped forward by the help of his guardian, he looked at it and spoke
"It seems like quite the seat"
Bairen looked at him with excited eyes
The old man sat down as Bairen moved it forward
"Who!!" said the old man surprised
Bairen stepped back handing the guiding of the moving chair to the guardian
"Go forward with it, this seems fun!" said the old man
The guardian looked at Bairen who seemed smiling at the scene, he nodded to him agreeing as the guardian went on with it
The old man seemed happy, so happy, in the background Bairen was looking at the paper the old man was staring at earlier, it had many names, he seemed angry, his eyes dark full of hate
"Come on boy, lets go use this in the streets while it is still day," said the old man
"As you wish ser" Said Bairen giving one last look before following after leaving the room dark and empty
By night time the butler was going to the king's office, wish was his now, while walking one of his guards came forward to him handing him a mail
"What is that?" asked the butler
"Just what you expected" replied the guard
The butler without word went inside the office, he understood what it was about
As he sat down on the table, he took a paper to write down, but before that he opened the letter, his eyes were ones of the devil
"It is about to get much chaotic than what was expected," said the butler
He started writing while the night went on, only he knew what it was though
