In Roknir village, Rex is exploring the mountainside with Denzel. As they walk, Denzel is busy scouting the area. They are on the lookout for the perfect trees to build a ship.
"Master, what type of trees are you looking for?" Denzel asks Rex.
"I prefer using oak trees. They are dense, hard, and resistant to rot and cannon fire. Back in my world, they are famously used by the French and English," Rex replies while scanning the surroundings.
"Master, how can you identify the trees? There are so many different types here," Denzel inquires.
"There are various ways to identify them. For now, just look for thick and sturdy trees," Rex responds.
Just moments after discussing the trees, they spot a line of tall, white trunks stretching up to the sky, blocking the sunlight and creating a large shadow.
"Master, are those the trees?" Denzel asks. Rex nods his head in agreement. They walk towards them and cut them. "Now we have to go to old man Fillo Bani to cut the wood into planks," says Rex. Denzel opens up the inventory and puts the wood inside.
They go back to the village looking for Old Man Fillo Bani. And they find him in a small shop named Timber Yard. he was sitting there smocking. "Hey, old man, I need help." He calls out to old man Fillo Bann.
"Hey, Rex, how can I help you?" he excitedly gives Rex his attention. "I need help cutting wood into planks," says Rex. The old man stands up and approaches him. "Where is the wood?"The old man asks.
"Denzel, show the old man," says Rex. Denzel opens up the inventory, and the trees come falling out, making a loud noise and dust as they crush into the ground. After the dust had cleared, the old man saw the trees. "Ah, Durath tree. These are good for building stuff with it. What do you want to build?" The old man asks.
"I want to build a ship, I can't travel the world without a boat, and I need to quickly finish it. " Says Rex, responding to the old man. "With this number of trees might take me the whole day, but with some help, it will take just a few hours." Says the old man.
"I will help you, well will help you." Says Rex as he summons Piller to help cut and organize the wood. At that moment, they start working on it. A few hours passed, and they took a break, while Denzel and Piller were still working.
"Hey, old man, why are you working alone in this tough job? It seems a little excessive for a single person to handle alone," says Rex. The old man looks at him and smiles a bit. "I used to have some help. My son used to help me, and now he's a Hero in the Maleina kingdom," says the old man Fillo Bani.
Rex was surprised by this, and he smiled. "I guess one day I and your son will become enemies." Says Rex, responding to the old man. "I guess you guys will become enemies. "But you should watch out, my son is strong. He was blessed by the god of light," says the old man, laughing.
In the kingdom of Maleina, a crowd of people has gathered in one area like an event. In front of them, it was five wooden platforms; they used those platforms for beheading people. They call them Doomroot.
Between the crowd of people, ten guards walk through them, cutting through them. Behind them, five people were walking with chains strapped to them. They were wearing dirty gowns and had Crimson eyes. Among them, there were two children, one boy and one girl.
Both of them walk slowly, dragging heavy chains, while in tears, even in tears, their eyes still held their glow, and they were beautiful. They walked, dragging their chains, and reaching a pull pit, they climbed the stairs up there so every man and woman could see them.
Their knees were shaking from the pain, but they finally reached the top. A guard came close to them and grabbed the chains and pulled them to the Doomroot. And he chained the two children. And the other three as well.
People started talking, and the sounds of voices filled the air. At that moment, General Kael, Commander of the Royal Guard, stood in front of them holding a scroll. The crowd went silent. General Kael opened the scroll to read it. "By the command of his majesty King Alden, all individuals blessed with the eyes of the god of death shall be executed, to prevent unprecedented future disasters caused by the spirit within them." General Kael closed the scroll after he finished reading it.
"Mom, I don't know what I did to deserve this. Please save me," the girl in the Doomroot thinks while staring at her crying mother, held by the guard, so she should not interfere. "Mom, please help me, I will be a good girl from now on, I will listen when you tell me to wash dishes, I will listen when you order me around. Please save me, Mom!" with no strength to speak, everything was just thoughts.
The mother is struggling to stop. "Please! Stop please!, My daughter has done nothing wrong, please free her free her!!!" she screams out as she sees the General raise his hand ordering the execution to commence, "I'm sorry, Mom, I just as she was about to finish her apology, her head along with the others were rolling on the floor.
The blood coming out of their necks was messy. The colour in their eyes slowly faded as the pull pit filled up with their blood. The woman cried and knelt in pain as she saw her daughter's head rolling on the floor. She was in pain.
Her eyes turned lifeless, she stared at the sky with no emotion, and froze as if she was paralyzed. The guards carried her in that state. "Clean this place and those bodies as well. They deserve a proper burial," says General Kael.
Then he starts thinking, "My king, I understand what you fear the most; the people don't understand, and I will make sure all their hatred comes to me. " He walks away, passing over the heads of the people he commanded to be executed.
He looked at them while walking away. "Their eyes lose their colour when they're dead." He thought while walking away.
In the Village of Roknir, Rex and the old man have finished with the planks, and the old man is helping them draft the ship. "I want to include some skulls to bring fear to people," says Rex.
"Where are we going to get skulls?" the old man asked. "I have a collection." Says Rex, replying to the old man. "I will include more than 10 rooms on the ship," says the old man Fillo Bann
"I don't plan on recruiting people on my ship, Anna is the first one and the last one," says Rex. "Even if you don't want to do that, there will be people who will follow you. Trust me, once you step on the ship, you become a leader, and you will bring hope to people even if you don't know them yet." The old man speaks to Rex. And he listened to him well. and agreed by knotting.
The day is near its setting time, and the news of the execution spreads around the world like flame in a dry tree. The world has taken a dark turn.
