Chapter 408 - Chapter 407: The Script That Was Written

"Mr. Keiichi, is it done yet!?"

Representatives from all nations were growing anxious, crowding around Keiichi, who was furiously scribbling away at his desk.

"Almost—almost! Just a little more!" Keiichi replied without looking up, his pen moving even faster across the page.

Everyone's eyes flicked nervously between the paper and the giant screen in the Global Council Hall — where Tiga was already locked in battle with Greeza.

From the looks of it, Tiga couldn't even touch the creature.

If he lost… the entire world would be finished.

But wait — that black weapon in Tiga's hand looked familiar. Wasn't that Dark Lugiel's weapon, the Dark Spark?

If Tiga had it now, did that mean Dark Lugiel had already been defeated?

Yu Zhou prepared to strike Greeza again with the lance — but then, without warning, black lightning began crawling up the weapon's shaft and coiling around his arm.

In the next instant, he felt his light energy being drained, as though the darkness itself was corroding him from within.

"That damn Lugiel!" Yu Zhou cursed, instantly realizing the trick. He threw the Dark Spark aside and raised his hand, flooding it with purifying light to burn away the black energy.

Of course — it was a hidden trap Lugiel had left behind.

"I underestimated him," Yu Zhou muttered.

Though he had purged the corruption, his light had grown visibly dimmer. His energy reserves were nearly depleted — his shining form was fading.

Just then, a golden whip lashed down from the sky, aiming to ensnare Greeza.

But as expected, the attack passed straight through the monster's intangible body without effect.

"Camearra? You're here?" Yu Zhou looked up to see the whip's owner descending from above.

"I came as soon as your duplicate finished wiping out the monsters around the village," Camearra said as she floated beside him.

Her words were calm, but her gaze scanned Yu Zhou's body carefully — checking for injuries.

Their moment was short-lived.

A yellow, warped head suddenly appeared before them — Greeza, grinning with its grotesque, hollow mouth.

Purple lightning burst forth from its skull, zigzagging wildly before exploding against both Yu Zhou and Camearra.

Sparks flew as the two were thrown back, tumbling through the air — but they managed to regain control, landing firmly on their feet instead of crashing down.

Together, they looked up at the void creature hovering in the sky — and simultaneously fired beams of light.

Both attacks pierced straight through Greeza's body without causing any harm.

"Wait—who is that Ultraman!?"

In the Council Hall, the delegates were stunned to see a new giant of light appear beside Tiga.

"Camearra!"

Those who had studied Ultraman Tiga and its movie sequels instantly recognized her.

But something was different — this Camearra wasn't the dark, vengeful warrior from the old stories. Her eyes were gentler, her colours radiant and bright — her body no longer shadowed by darkness.

"A… Light Giant version of Camearra?"

Hasegawa, who had been scribbling beside Keiichi, froze mid-sentence and looked up at the screen.

He had written the original Final Odyssey script himself — and in that story, Camearra had never turned into a being of light.

She had died a dark giant.

So, what was this? Had Tiga… saved her? Brought her into the light?

"But that's not how I wrote it…" he muttered, scratching his head in disbelief.

Back on the battlefield, Greeza descended from the sky, apparently taking interest in these two new opponents. Its translucent body flickered with purple light as it advanced.

Yu Zhou struck first, driving his fist straight through Greeza's chest — but his arm passed through without resistance.

Camearra followed up with a powerful kick — but her blow only demolished a nearby building, which collapsed into rubble.

The fight had shifted into the one area Yu Zhou had managed to protect earlier — the last surviving zone untouched by Greeza's first lightning storm.

A few survivors were still there.

When they looked around and saw that everything beyond this area had been flattened into lifeless wasteland, they could only stare blankly.

If not for Tiga's protection, they would've been vaporized already.

Realizing this, Yu Zhou clenched his fists. He couldn't afford to let the battle continue here — or his efforts to protect them would be meaningless.

"Camearra, follow me!" he said quickly.

The two giants retreated, luring Greeza out into the empty wasteland.

The void creature followed immediately, emitting that same eerie, warped laughter.

Its speed was terrifying. In the blink of an eye, it closed the distance and slashed its claws across Camearra's back, hurling her into the air.

Yu Zhou turned to catch her — but Greeza was already upon him, claws raised again.

He twisted around and met the strike head-on with a powerful punch.

This time, his fist connected.

The blow landed squarely on Greeza's claw with a resounding impact, sending the monster flying backward across the wasteland.

Yu Zhou's eyes lit up.

"Finally hit you!" he shouted, excitement surging in his voice.

He had found it — Greeza's weakness.

Whenever Greeza used physical attacks, it was forced to take on a solid form. In that instant, it could be struck.

"It worked!"

The representatives in the Council Hall erupted in cheers, several of them jumping to their feet.

"Tiga hit it! He actually hit it!"

If Tiga could damage Greeza — then maybe there was still hope for humanity after all.

"I've finished it!"

Keiichi suddenly stood up, waving a stack of papers triumphantly.

The new script was complete — Tiga vs. Greeza: The Light Triumphs!

In his version, Tiga would crush Greeza effortlessly, restoring peace to the Earth.

Everyone cheered, convinced that somehow, Keiichi's "story" could influence the reality unfolding before them.

Surely now, the tide would turn.

But when they turned their eyes back to the screen—

Greeza had grown more cunning.

It stayed intangible, refusing to use physical attacks, while purple lightning rained down from its body in constant waves.

Camearra tried to retaliate again and again, but each strike passed harmlessly through. Finally, she staggered backward, her Colour Timer flashing red.

"No… it can't be!"

The Council chamber fell silent. Hope drained from their faces as they realized the script had changed nothing.

Their last, desperate plan — trusting a scriptwriter to save the world — had failed.

If Greeza couldn't be destroyed, then Earth's fate was sealed.

It would consume the planet's life energy… until nothing was left.

"Camearra, fall back!" Yu Zhou called out. Seeing her energy flickering, he quickly pulled a small Plasma Spark fragment from his colour timer — a gift from Masaki.

"Here. Use this to recover a little energy first."

He pressed it into her hands; his light still dims but determined.
