Chapter 405 - Chapter 404 – Writing with All His Might

Falling to the ground, Nagano realized he couldn't just keep dodging forever.

He pushed himself up, gritted his teeth, and rushed straight toward Golza, engaging the monster in close combat.

The two wrestled fiercely, straining their strength against each other. The rocky ground beneath their feet was crushed and ground to dust under the immense pressure of their struggle.

After a few moments of this deadlock, Nagano let out a shout, shoving Golza back with all his might before retreating a few steps, ending the grapple.

"Changing forms… this is how it's done, right?"

He crossed his arms in front of the crystal on his forehead, then swept them outward to his sides.

In an instant, Nagano transformed into the Power Type — the silver-and-red form of Ultraman Tiga known for its overwhelming strength — and charged once more toward Golza.

"Success."

Standing off to the side, Yu Zhou nodded approvingly as he watched. It seemed that transferring the Power and Sky Type energies into Dika's capsule had worked perfectly.

Now, in his Power Type form, Nagano launched a fierce assault, his blows pounding Golza relentlessly. The monster was completely overwhelmed, unable to withstand the sudden surge in strength.

Golza couldn't understand what was happening. Just moments ago, its opponent's strength had been manageable — but now, three punches and two kicks were enough to slam it to the ground.

Perhaps enraged by humiliation, or maybe realizing it couldn't win by brute force, Golza rose again. Its forehead pulsed with a dark purple light — it was about to unleash its beam attack.

Seeing this, Nagano drew his hands to his sides, gathering light energy from the surrounding air.

"Delacium Light Stream!"

— the Power Type's signature finisher.

Golza's purple beam shot forth from its forehead, and Nagano's golden-red light burst from his hands. The two rays collided midair, clashing violently as waves of energy rippled across the battlefield.

Nagano's heart pounded.

This was his first battle. His first time standing before a real giant monster.

He'd only ever seen "beam duels" like this in the show — but never lived through one himself.

Yet before he could even process the moment, the Delacium Light Stream overpowered Golza's purple beam, swallowing it whole before striking the monster's head dead-on.

Nagano had studied enough about monsters to know Golza could absorb light energy through its abdomen.

So instead of aiming there, he had instinctively targeted the head.

A deafening explosion shook the mountains.

Golza's roar was cut short as its body was engulfed by the light — and when the radiance faded, it was gone, disintegrated into dust.

Nagano remained in his stance, the beam still shining from his hands, stunned.

"...Nagano?"

Yu Zhou approached, placing a hand on his shoulder.

"Huh?" Nagano blinked, snapping out of it. He turned toward the shining Yu Zhou with an embarrassed grin. "Sorry, I was just… thinking about something."

"Any confusion?" Yu Zhou asked calmly.

"I just thought…" Nagano scratched his head. "I expected a beam struggle to last a while, but it ended so fast! This light attack is way too strong!"

He spoke half in awe, half in disbelief. In his mind, Ultraman battles usually had long, drawn-out duels — but this time, it ended in seconds.

"Of course," Yu Zhou said with a faint smile. "That's because it's my power you're using."

Nagano nodded slowly, still trying to process it. Then he looked down at his chest.

"Usually, Ultramen start flashing red after a fight, right? But my Colour Timer's still blue. Why's that?"

"Having too much energy is a bad thing?" Yu Zhou chuckled helplessly.

The Dika capsule — though a replica of Tiga — had been modified from the Digital Tiga base. Its energy reserves were immense, and it even drew power directly from sunlight.

Even after Yu Zhou's adjustments, its energy efficiency remained exceptional.

Just then, Yu Zhou received a signal from his clone — an urgent transmission from Dark Lugiel.

After a brief exchange with Nagano, Yu Zhou prepared to leave.

As for what Nagano would do next, he didn't interfere. Monsters were appearing everywhere, and there would be plenty of chances for Nagano to help protect people.

Thanks to Tiga's countless clones spreading across the globe, the disasters had already lessened.

Each clone fought off rampaging monsters wherever they appeared, giving humanity a much-needed chance to breathe.

To prevent future attacks, Yu Zhou had ordered his clones to station themselves in regions where monsters appeared most frequently — acting as sentinels of light around the world.

Nagano gazed up at the shining golden figure of Yu Zhou soaring across the sky.

After thinking for a while, he clenched his fists, made up his mind — and leapt into the air, chasing after him.

Meanwhile, the Global United Conference was still ongoing.

All the delegates sat in tense silence, waiting for one man — Kazuo Tsuburaya, a screenwriter from the "Certain Ancient Company" — to finish his script.

The fate of the world might just depend on the story he was writing.

Tsuburaya's hands flew over the keyboard, sweat dripping down his forehead.

He poured every ounce of creativity into Tiga's lore — expanding his backstory, his powers, his purpose — building toward a climactic confrontation.

He described Tiga's battle against Greeza — the embodiment of darkness — where Tiga utterly overwhelmed the creature, striking it so hard it solidified into form, then blasted it apart with a single beam of light.

"If I write this, maybe… maybe our world really can be saved!"

Tsuburaya muttered to himself, exhilarated by the thought.

He wasn't just writing fiction anymore — he was writing for all mankind.

This was salvation through story.

Just then, a communications officer burst into the hall.

"Report! Multiple Tigas appeared ten minutes ago! They've spread across the globe and are eliminating monsters in every region!"

The hall erupted in murmurs.

The main screen switched to an outdoor broadcast — showing, not far from the building, a towering Ultraman Tiga battling a kaiju amidst the city ruins.

Everyone was stunned.

"So many Tigas…? Could this be some kind of duplication ability?"

One of the high-ranking officials turned to Tsuburaya.

"Mr. Tsuburaya, does Ultraman Tiga have the ability to create multiple copies of himself?"

Tsuburaya hesitated, then smiled awkwardly. "Technically, no… but Ultraman's power is all about the heart — belief and willpower. If you believe, anything is possible."

"You really are quite the idealist, Mr. Tsuburaya."

"Haha… I suppose so."

The officer continued his report:

"In addition to the numerous Tigas, we've detected the Shining Tiga form — first sighted in Huaxia, then moving toward Japan!"

"The Shining Tiga from Huaxia to Japan…"

The Huaxia representative thought for a moment, then nodded in realization.

"Of course. Shining Tiga must be heading to confront Dark Lugiel."

At that, every pair of eyes turned toward Tsuburaya again.

"Mr. Tsuburaya," one delegate asked nervously,

"in your scripts… has Ultraman Tiga ever fought Dark Lugiel before?"

Tsuburaya froze.

"This… uh… actually, no. Not yet."
