Chapter 385 - Chapter 384 – A Man

"Camearra, what happened?"

Yu Zhou silently reached out to Camearra in his mind, asking through their mental link.

This way of communicating was actually quite convenient—much more direct than the usual Ultra Sign from the Land of Light.

"Not only in Japan," Camearra's voice echoed in his thoughts, "but even in America, monsters have appeared!"

Hearing that, Yu Zhou immediately changed direction mid-flight.

So many monsters appearing at once—he was starting to feel overwhelmed.

He had just finished off two Silvergons, plus a Hipporit.

That was already more than enough for one day. Surely there wouldn't be even more monsters popping up, right?

Unfortunately, things didn't go as he hoped.

Monsters were still appearing elsewhere.

If this kept up, even if his energy could somehow last, he'd probably die from sheer exhaustion.

"In other worlds," he muttered to himself, "monsters don't appear this often… why is it that my world gets so many? And all at once, too!"

He let out a sigh. "I mean, it's not like I'm living in some never-ending movie crossover event…"

Then a wild idea crossed his mind.

"Should I… maybe try finding the actors who played Ultraman and see if they can transform?"

He thought it over for a moment—then quickly dismissed it.

Even putting aside how suspicious that would make him look, if those people could transform, they'd need some kind of special trigger—just like in Ultraman Mebius & the Ultra Brothers.

Flying swiftly across the ocean, Yu Zhou soon crossed half the Pacific.

But then, Camearra's voice came again: "That monster's been destroyed—by the Americans themselves."

Apparently, the monster over there had also been a Silvergon. Its hide was tough, so the Americans decided to take the brute-force route—launching an extremely powerful missile that levelled an entire section of the city.

The Silvergon was annihilated, reduced to ashes in the rubble.

"...All right, then," Yu Zhou said helplessly, turning back.

With that, he transformed into a streak of light and headed home.

When he got back, Yu Zhou collapsed onto his bed without even taking off his shoes.

Three monsters in one day—it was exhausting beyond words.

Camearra curled up beside him like a cat, pressing her body gently against his back.

"You must be tired," she said softly, her hands beginning to massage his shoulders.

"I'm fine, I'm fine," Yu Zhou said with a grin. "A man can't say he's done in so easily."

But even as he said it, his thoughts began to drift.

The warmth of Camearra's body against his back, the feeling of her soft touch—it stirred something in him that completely erased his fatigue.

Still, though he had the desire, he never acted on it.

For all the times they'd shared a bed, nothing beyond gentle closeness had happened. Every time things started to get heated, Yu Zhou would rein himself in, keeping his self-control like a saint.

Camearra could only sigh quietly each time, her eyes full of subtle frustration—but she never complained.

Because she knew. Deep down, Yu Zhou still carried a shadow in his heart—something left over from the Tiga of thirty million years ago.

"Foolish man," she murmured softly, shaking her head.

It had failed again.

If Yu Zhou truly wanted her, he would've made the first move long ago.

He didn't need all this hesitation and restraint.

"Why do I feel… like I'm not much of a man?" Yu Zhou suddenly thought to himself—then immediately shook his head.

No, he was a man.

He just had a conscience.

That was all.

Still, he couldn't help wondering.

He unlocked his phone, scrolling through the news feed. Nearly every post was about Ultraman—mostly about him.

"Ultraman Tiga appears in Japan—fans across the nation are going wild!"

"After taking down the Silvergons in Rongcheng and Japan, then defeating the Hipporit—Tiga is unstoppable!"

"Remember the monsters from Ultraman Mebius & the Ultra Brothers? The Silvergon and Hipporit both showed up there!"

"Yeah! And after that, the super fusion monster Giga Chimera appeared—wait, could that happen here too?!"

"I hope not... though if it does, maybe all the other Ultras will appear too?"

"That actually makes sense!"

Yu Zhou scrolled through the comments, analysing their theories with a thoughtful expression.

To be honest, some of what people were saying wasn't far from what he had already considered—he just hadn't gone that deep into it.

Now that he thought about it again, especially remembering how the Hipporit had said it came through a "space vortex" …

If monsters and aliens could arrive this way, who's to say other Ultras couldn't as well?

Maybe—just maybe—some other Ultraman would cross over into this world too.

What a relief that would be.

He couldn't help feeling regretful that he hadn't been able to bring the other Tiga and Dyna world Ultras with him.

If he had, his workload right now would be so much lighter.

If a truly powerful monster ever appeared, he could call for backup—no need to face it alone.

But for now, it was just him… and Camearra.

If more monsters appeared at once, even that might not be enough.

It reminded him of that time on Planet Dais, when he fought against a whole swarm of Gyabish monsters.

Back then, it had been an open battlefield—a barren wasteland. He could unleash massive area attacks without worrying about hitting allies.

But here on Earth, it was different.

The monsters were scattered, appearing in cities, forests, oceans… all over the place.

To destroy them all, he'd have to chase them down one by one.

And while he could teleport, even his Ultra energy had limits.

As he kept scrolling, one comment caught his eye:

"I've noticed that many countries are collecting monster remains. Could they be trying to create something like the medals in Ultraman Z?"

"Or maybe using monster fragments to make genetic capsules like in Geed?"

"Or even developing something similar to the Land of Light's Hikari's inventions, like the Riser or Sublimator?"

Yu Zhou couldn't help but pause and think seriously about that.

If this world's biotechnology were advanced enough… it might actually be possible.

But realistically? Probably not.

Even if they did manage to create medals or capsules, they'd still need a Riser to use them.

He sighed. "If only I'd managed to snag a Riser back in Geed's world…"

He regretted not asking Hikari for more "attachments" when he had the chance.

He wondered when Hikari had even started developing the new Sublimator.

From what Yu Zhou remembered, Hikari hadn't invented it yet at the time he handed over Yu Zhou's own device.

As for the Ultra Medals—Yu Zhou suspected they were a reworked evolution of the earlier Ultra Capsules.
