"Rooaaar!!"
Molten lava splashed everywhere as a familiar, hulking figure burst from the volcano's crater—Golza's massive head emerging first, followed by a thunderous roar that shook the air.
"He's back?" Charija called out, waving at Golza as the monster crawled out of the lava flow, his tone filled with curiosity.
"Did you find another Golza down there?"
Golza climbed out from the molten pit and gave a very human-like nod.
"I knew it," Yu Zhou said, his suspicion confirmed. "So, there is another Golza inside this volcano."
"Then why didn't you bring it up here?" Charija asked, frowning in confusion.
Golza couldn't speak human language; instead, he let out a series of guttural beastly sounds — "Hurrghh hurrghh hurrghhh!" — while gesturing wildly with his claws.
"Ohhh~ I see, I see!" Charija nodded in sudden realization, clearly understanding the monster's strange gestures and growls.
Yu Zhou's expression twitched. Charija actually speaks 'monster'?
Then again, considering how much time he spends around kaiju, it wasn't all that surprising that he'd picked up a bit of "beast language."
"Oi, translator," Yu Zhou said dryly. "What exactly did he say?"
"Golza says there really is another Golza down there," Charija explained.
"That's great! Then just pull it up and tame it already!" Yu Zhou said excitedly.
"That would be nice," Charija sighed. "But the problem is… it refuses to come out!"
"Then send your Golza down there to drag it out!" Yu Zhou suggested immediately.
Given that Charija's Golza could swim through magma like water, it made perfect sense for him to go back down and pull his 'friend' out.
"Hurrrgh hurrrgh hurrrghhh!!"
But Golza suddenly covered his face with his claws and let out a series of embarrassed grunts.
"Uh… Charija, why is your Golza covering its face? What's it so shy about?" Yu Zhou asked, dumbfounded.
Charija coughed awkwardly. "Ahem, well… apparently when Golza went down there, he didn't find one of his kind—he found two."
Yu Zhou blinked. "Two? As in… a pair?"
Charija nodded gravely. "Yep. One male and one female. And when he found them…"
He hesitated, then continued, "They were, uh… busy making baby Golzas. That's why he's covering his face."
Yu Zhou: "…"
"You're telling me," Yu Zhou said slowly, eyebrows twitching, "that your Golza found them three hours ago… and just stayed there watching?!"
"Huh?!" Charija froze, realizing the implication.
So all this time he and Yu Zhou had been waiting outside the volcano—for three hours—because his Golza had been spectating an intimate scene inside?!
"…"
Beads of imaginary sweat seemed to drip down Golza's rocky forehead.
Then, in shame, he turned into a flash of light and fled straight into his capsule.
"Get back out here!" Charija shouted furiously, tossing the capsule into the air.
Golza was instantly re-summoned—but he still covered his face, utterly mortified.
Apparently even a monster could feel embarrassment.
Not satisfied with just hiding behind his claws, Golza waddled over to the edge of the lava pool and, like an ostrich burying its head in sand, plunged his entire head straight into the magma.
Charija: "…"
Watching his kaiju act like an ostrich, Charija sighed deeply. Maybe I really haven't been raising him properly. Look at him—three hours of bad influence and he's gone full birdbrain.
Then—BOOM!!
Without warning, the volcano erupted again, blasting a massive column of molten rock skyward. The explosion nearly knocked Yu Zhou off his flight platform and almost burned a hole through Charija's black umbrella.
When the blast subsided, Golza lifted his head from the magma, staring intently at the fiery pillar—as though he sensed something within.
BOOM!!!
Before Yu Zhou and Charija could stabilize themselves, two gigantic shapes burst out from the molten column—two muscular Golzas, roaring as they crashed onto the ground below.
"They're out!" Yu Zhou exclaimed.
"Charija, try to capture them!"
"Got it!" Charija immediately drew two Ultra Capsules and threw them toward the pair.
PAK!!
But both Golzas reacted with lightning speed, swatting the capsules away with a single swing of their claws. The capsules flew straight into the lava and vanished.
One of the new Golzas glared down at Charija, eyes narrowing in recognition.
This short, round man in black… looked oddly familiar.
And then—memory hit.
Years ago, he'd been summoned to attack a strange plant monster.
But the creature's pollen had scrambled his mind, forcing him to flee underground.
He'd lived beneath the surface for years, regaining his senses—but unable to return.
Eventually, he'd burrowed into this volcano… where he'd found a sleeping female Golza.
They had since stayed hidden here, building a quiet life beneath the magma—until today.
Now, seeing his kin standing beside Charija, the male Golza's fury burned hot.
This was the fool who once controlled him—and the one whose Golza had just spied on their private moment!
ROOOAAARR!!!
Bellowing in rage, both Golzas charged straight at Charija's trembling Golza.
The poor creature flailed its claws desperately, as if crying, "Wait! I didn't mean it! Don't come over here!"
But the two angry Golzas crashed into him with tremendous force, sending Charija's Golza flying through the air before it slammed into the ground with a thunderous crash.
Yu Zhou folded his arms and shook his head.
"This," he said dryly, "is what happens when you watch something you shouldn't."
