Chapter 309 - Chapter 309: Ultraman in Monster Battles

After enjoying a good shoulder massage from Camearra, Yuzhou waited until she left and then opened the game he had been playing earlier.

At the start, he had a Kun, evolving solely by devouring.

However, that Kun had already been given to Charija as upgrade material, so Yuzhou loaded the other character that Tomoki had created for him:

Ultraman Tiga.

Originally, this game was a monster fighting game, but Tomoki, that kid, was truly talented—he had even managed to incorporate an Ultraman into it.

Yuzhou was curious to see what would happen when an Ultraman entered a game full of monsters.

He loaded Ultraman Tiga's data and created the character.

As soon as he entered, he was matched with an opponent of beginner level.

Yuzhou clicked the match button and soon found an opponent.

The opponent's monster was a massive dinosaur-like creature, seemingly modelled after a Tyrannosaurus, with careful attention to detail.

Yuzhou didn't pay it much mind—there was no way his Ultraman Tiga character would lose in the first round.

On the other side, the opponent's player froze when he saw the character on the screen.

"Bro, you said this game was all about monsters fighting, right?"

This young man had just been dragged into the game by his older brother and didn't fully understand all the mechanics.

Seeing Ultraman Tiga—a character he knew extremely well—appearing here, he was stunned.

His brother had explicitly told him that the game only had monsters, that it was monsters fighting monsters. And yet now…

"Yeah, it's a monster fighting game. Didn't you create a Tyrannosaurus monster? What's the matter?"

His older brother, a veteran gamer, walked over to guide him.

But upon seeing the silver, purple, and red body on the screen, even the veteran's eyes widened.

He rubbed his eyes in disbelief.

"Ultraman Tiga?!!"

"Is this some kind of joke??"

He looked at the game description again, still dumbfounded.

It clearly stated this was a monster fighting game—so how could Ultraman Tiga appear?

Yuzhou didn't care what the opponent was thinking; once the match started, he immediately began controlling his character.

Following the operation guide Tomoki had sent, Yuzhou quickly punched and kicked the Tyrannosaurus monster to the ground, then finished the battle with a single Zeperion beam.

The battle was over so fast that the beginner opponent was still in shock.

"W…what the hell…"

The young man's older brother was completely dumbstruck. He quickly took out his phone, snapped a photo of Ultraman Tiga on the screen, and uploaded it to the game forum.

"Shocking! Just taught my little brother to play, and we ran into Ultraman Tiga!"

The headline screamed "clickbait," typical of a veteran forum editor.

Soon, people began clicking the post.

"Is the OP crazy? Where's the Photoshop?"

"This is a monster fighting game—where did an Ultraman come from?"

"If there really is an Ultraman, I'll eat my own excrement upside-down."

"Yes! If it's real, I'll do it too!"

Clearly, many doubted the post.

After all, the game had been running for so long, and nothing like this had ever happened before.

Most people assumed it was just for attention.

Yuzhou didn't stop after defeating the Tyrannosaurus—he immediately clicked for the next match.

Soon, he found another opponent.

This monster was stitched together from the limbs of various monsters.

Once the battle began, Yuzhou repeated his previous strategy: three punches and a few kicks knocked the monster down, then a single beam finished it.

In beginner matches like these, the opponents were still too weak.

They also had little game sense, making the battles easier and faster.

Originally, the game's monster battles allowed the defeated side to be devoured by the victor.

But Yuzhou's character was Ultraman Tiga—there was no devouring here.

Each time he defeated a monster, it exploded, transforming into light particles that entered Tiga's colour meter on the screen.

Tomoki had cleverly designed it this way for Tiga's levelling battles.

As Yuzhou advanced, he reached mid-to-high-level ranks.

Players at this rank usually had good game sense, strong operation skills, and capable monsters.

However, Yuzhou's consecutive victories with Ultraman Tiga caused the game forum to erupt.

Especially the first post that revealed Tiga—it went completely viral.

"It's true! I just encountered him!"

"Yeah, I did too! It's Ultraman Tiga!"

"God, it really is Tiga!"

"Unbelievable! He just wiped me out without moving much!"

"Same here! The opponent was dumbstruck the moment the screen loaded!"

"I managed a few moves, but I wasn't a match at all."

"By the way, what about the guy who said he'd eat excrement?"

He was probably already in the restroom by now.

The post ignited the forum. The game company's customer service line was flooded with calls.

"Hello, customer service? Are there really only monsters in your game?"

"Why did I encounter Ultraman—Ultraman Tiga?!"

"Customer service, are you there???"

In a dimly lit office building, two middle-aged men who looked alike sat facing each other.

One wore a black leather jacket, the other gold-rimmed glasses.

"How's the plan going?" the man in black asked.

"Everything was going smoothly," the glasses-wearing man replied. "But recently, strange things have appeared in the game."

"Strange things?" the man in black asked.

"Ultraman Tiga," the man in glasses said.

"I told you not to make it so complicated. Leave it to me," the man in black said disdainfully, letting out a cold snort.

"He's not ordinary. You can't handle him," the man in glasses warned. "Even the evil god isn't his match. If you go, you're just going to die."

"…"

The man in black hesitated.

"However, you can try other targets," the man in glasses added.

"Ultraman Dyna."

"Although, I doubt you'll succeed," he continued.

"We'll see," the man in black said defiantly, disappearing into the dim office.

Yuzhou continued matching unaware of the chaos he had caused in the game.

Many advanced players, logging in with alternate accounts, were preparing to ambush him.

One player, ready to target Yuzhou, perked up when opening the match screen.

His opponent was none other than the miraculous Ultraman Tiga!
