She regards me head to toe as though it's a crime to stand before her. Then she throws her gaze to my extended hand, and with a scoff, she says.
"So?"
The girls with me pass each other looks in silence, their faces tell they're used to such a behavior.
But I will not tolerate it.
My smile doesn't break for a second. I lean in, grab her hand and pull her to me.
There are soft gasps of shock from the girls.
Into her ear, I whisper clearly.
"You should follow me to my office. Trust me, you wouldn't want to miss this."
I feel her muscles tense in reluctance, probably feeling insulted and humiliated by my action. But I don't act without plans.
In order to drown her refusal before it gets a chance to be voiced, I continue.
"It is about Colson and Leiara," I say, knowing fully well she can't resist the curiosity this would pique inside her.
I pull away from her, my smile big and warm.
Whereas, her face is tight with seriousness.
"You… what do you know about Co—"
