Knock
I waited with nervous breath as I waited for someone to open the door. My feet kept shifting as I tried to keep myself under check, but the wait was killing me.
My body remained calm while my mind made up various scenarios about our neighbours and who they could be.
Finally, the door opened and a beautiful woman around my age opened the door. Her red hair shined from the rays of the setting sun, making her red appear even more vivid, and her blue eyes looked at me with discomfort.
"Excuse me, but I think you have come to the wrong house. We will not start taking orders until tomorrow. Now, if you would please head back—"
The female told me as she tried to close the door to her house, but I spoke quickly before she could.
"I am not a suspicious person or here to give you an order. I am your neighbour from the bookstore next door. I came here to greet you today since I just came back from my trip. Here, this is a gift for you."
