The duchess had given me a two-day grace period to pack and get my affairs in order. That felt like nearly no time for me to mentally prepare myself.
Duchess Isabella Lilly told me that she would like to leave in "two days preferably" and to "tell her if I want to change things," but that was just her being polite.
I could tell that she wanted me to agree to the initial date.
And I did not want to cause her any trouble, so I agreed. And as for my affairs…? They were mostly looking after the claw machine (I would have to depend on the station master) and handling my regulars.
Since I had no way to contact the latter party, I would just have to take my chances.
Luckily for me, one of the people I needed to inform decided to seek me out himself.
