This world was not for Nanashi—
Utterly dull.
A world where you can't get nothing.
Aside from the Koutetsujou(*Iron Fortress), even the technology lagged far behind.
With a casual thought, he used the power of faith to recreate a house identical to his own—
A perfect replica.
He couldn't be bothered to stay in someone else's quarters.
Then, he summoned Echidna.
"Master, do you require something?" she asked gently.
Her gaze swept across the room, pausing briefly on the three women seated awkwardly on the sofa. Her eyes lingered on Mumei and Horobi before she smiled sweetly.
"Would you like me to serve you now, Master? Perhaps… together with these ladies?"
Serve…
That word held weight.
Unlike Mumei, both Ayame and Horobi were native to this era. They knew exactly what Echidna meant.
Ayame quickly averted her gaze, her cheeks flushed.
Horobi's expression flickered, a strange glint in her eyes.
Nanashi sighed inwardly.
She's really good at playing this role.
Echidna blinked, her voice echoing in his mind,
"Nowhere near as good as your beloved Pandora."
Pandora…
True.
If he didn't keep a tight grip on her inner thoughts, even he wouldn't be able to tell if she was being genuine or not.
Without wasting another word, he tapped the tabletop.
"I'm a little thirsty."
A subtle signal.
Echidna understood instantly. A sly smile curved her lips as she materialized a cup of her signature tea—Donna Tea.
"If Master prefers," she added softly, "I can prepare a freshly brewed wine… made just for you."
…
Freshly made Donna Tea?
That was definitely a loaded suggestion.
Nanashi glanced at her body, momentarily tempted.
But he didn't act on it—not yet. He simply took a sip of the tea and gave a quiet nod of approval.
"It's excellent. I'll try the freshly made one… tonight."
He turned to her.
"You must be curious, right?" He smiled faintly. "Since you've been so welcoming, I'll indulge that curiosity."
Echidna's eyes lit up like stars.
This was what she had been waiting for.
From the moment she appeared, she had realized this was an entirely different world.
And of the three women before her, two were distinctly inhuman.
Curious. So curious. Absolutely curious!
Her hunger for knowledge swelled, intense and unrelenting—
To the point that it nearly touched her soul's most sensitive edge.
"Go ahead. Explore this world however you like—just don't harm any humans."
"Thank you, my master!"
With Nanashi's permission, Echidna gleefully kissed the corner of his mouth before dashing out of the room.
Touching the spot where her lips had landed, Nanashi chuckled wryly.
This woman really will do anything for knowledge.
His gaze shifted back to the three—Mumei, Horobi, and Ayame.
Having some time to spare, he used a private channel to explain the Doomsday Chat Group to Mumei, who had only just joined. Shielded from outside perception, the conversation played out silently.
To Horobi and Ayame, it looked like the two were merely mouthing words.
But Mumei's expression spoke volumes—fluctuating between confusion and shock.
After a while, Nanashi concluded,
"And that's about it."
Mumei stood in silent contemplation.
She had long considered herself a mere pawn—someone born without meaning. The thought of suicide had crossed her mind more than once.
But Nanashi's vague, yet carefully chosen words stirred something within her.
Perhaps… being chosen for the chat group did mean she had a purpose.
Nanashi sipped his tea calmly.
It wasn't difficult to guide a young girl who hadn't yet matured emotionally.
With just a few nudges, her mind had begun to shift.
For the first time, Mumei started to believe that her existence held meaning.
The desire to die was quietly replaced by a seed of hope.
Another lost soul, saved. Another quiet day of doing good.
Night never truly fell.
When Seitenshi, Mikasa, and Vivi returned, they were stunned to see a fully furnished house standing there out of nowhere.
Once Nanashi explained it, their shock began to fade.
After all, if someone can stop time, is building a house that unbelievable?
Still, they came back in good spirits—it seemed their outing had gone well.
With time moving at a snail's pace across the entire world, even someone like Mikasa—who relied solely on physical strength—had ample time to take down Kabane.
Let alone Seitenshi, with her angelic body, or Vivi, who had command over Wood Release techniques.
"Gu…"
A sudden sound broke the quiet.
Mikasa's face flushed faintly.
"…Hungry?" Nanashi asked with mild surprise.
"Yeah," she nodded quietly.
"I can prepare something, Lord Nanashi," offered Ayame politely.
"No need."
With a wave of Nanashi's hand, the table instantly filled with an array of gourmet dishes.
"!!!"
Mikasa's eyes sparkled.
Even Mumei, Ayame, and Horobi were visibly stunned. These were foods they'd never even imagined, much less tasted.
"Dig in," Nanashi said with a soft smile.
"Thank you!" Mikasa responded eagerly, immediately helping herself.
She didn't eat like a lady at all—more like a starved wolf.
Definitely a foodie… just like Akame.
Saiki still hadn't returned, but Nanashi wasn't the least bit worried.
With his suppressors taken off, Saiki was basically unstoppable—he'd neither starve nor freeze.
His powers even allowed him to revert his body to how it was the day before.
If anything, Nanashi figured Saiki was just grinding for points—hoping to finally master his overwhelming psychic abilities.
For someone like him, power control was the biggest hurdle to a normal life.
Creating a living space was no problem.
Nanashi replicated the design of his own home down to the smallest detail.
He shared the master bedroom with Seitenshi.
Mikasa and Vivi were given the second bedroom.
Ayame, Mumei, and Horobi shared another.
In one of the quiet rooms, Echidna reappeared, startling Nanashi.
Gone was the excitement she'd shown earlier—now she wore a calm expression, as if she'd already seen everything this world had to offer.
She had done her homework.
The culture, technology, Iron Fortress, Kabane, Kabaneri—she had studied it all.
There was nothing left to be curious about.
Her gaze wandered… until it landed on the concept of "Nanashi time."
New curiosity flickered in her eyes, practically overflowing.
Nanashi raised an eyebrow.
"…Can't say I didn't see that thirst for knowledge."
Time to make that cup of freshly brewed Donna Tea, just like he promised.
"What's that sound?" Mumei asked curiously, pointing at the wall.
Ayame lowered her gaze, saying nothing.
Horobi hesitated, then offered a vague explanation.
"Let's just say… he's training."
"Okay."
The ever-trusting Mumei accepted it without a second thought.
By the next day—at least, by normal time standards—Mumei had recovered her spirit.
She actively joined the others on their Kabane extermination mission.
Only Nanashi, Ayame, and Horobi remained behind.
Nanashi lounged comfortably in his room, chatting with the group.
March 7th:
"All the Evil Cultivators are gone. Haven't you guys finished the mission yet?"
Nanashi:
"I'm conducting a little experiment with time. I'll stick around for a bit longer."
Nanashi:
"Saiki, how's your end holding up?"
Saiki Kusuo:
"No issues."
Nanashi:
"Good to hear."
Kiana:
"Esdeath, round two! Let's go!"
Esdeath:
"Looking for revenge? Bring it."
Kiana:
"Heh, I won't lose this time!"
Aqua:
"Ooooh, real-time fight! Let's go!"
Silver Wolf:
"No one's streaming this? First-person fights just aren't the same without spectators!"
Nanashi:
"True. Would be nice if the Doomsday Battlefield had a live broadcast feature."
Aqua:
"The chat group doesn't even have a feedback form. Who's gonna hear us out?"
[Ding! Majority consensus detected. The Doomsday Battlefield has now activated autonomous live-stream functionality!]
Aqua: "???"
Nanashi: "Oh? You also hear that?"
Lemuel: "Wait… could that be another hidden administrator privilege?"
Nanashi: "Who knows?"
When he thought about it carefully, Nanashi realized that, as an administrator, he did indeed have privileges.
For example, the roulette often granted him top-tier items.
He alone could freely view the chat group's function descriptions.
And without exception, he was always present on every Doomsday mission.
Perhaps even suggesting new features was a hidden administrative privilege.
[Ding! The Doomsday Battlefield has begun live streaming!]
[Nanashi has entered the live room!]
Just like before, the setting was an endless grassland battlefield.
"You've gotten stronger," Esdeath said with a grin, eyeing Kiana like a predator stalking her prey.
"Of course I have!" Kiana declared proudly, hands on her hips as the golden sword of Damocles materialized above her.
Esdeath launched hundreds of ice lances into the air, repeating her previous attack.
But this time, the lances couldn't pierce Kiana.
Floating effortlessly, Kiana stretched out her arms.
The ice lances were swallowed by rippling void cracks in midair.
A smug smile tugged at her lips. "This time, I won't go down without a fight."
Tick!
She snapped her fingers crisply.
Hundreds of dark void cracks opened behind her, and from them emerged the same ice lances—now redirected back at Esdeath from above.
Struck by her own attack.
And yet, Esdeath didn't panic. If anything, her fighting spirit surged with excitement.
"Now this is fun!"
A towering iceberg, nearly a hundred meters tall, erupted from the ground as Esdeath began to fight in earnest.
