Silver Wolf: "Did the galaxy lose a line somewhere?"
Nanashi: "I can obliterate a planetary system with a single kick. A star system? Nothing worth mentioning. Wiping out an entire galaxy cluster takes a bit more effort."
Note: Hierarchy (small → big): Star → Star System → Galaxy → Galaxy Cluster → Supercluster → Universe
Silver Wolf: "…"
Silver Wolf: "Damn."
Momonga: "Boss, you're incredible!!!"
Hai Xiaomei: "Wow… that's amazing!"
Through the influence of the group, Hai Xiaomei had come to understand the planets, the stars, and the vastness of the universe.
She was deeply shaken.
Suoh: "..."
Remembering their last encounter, Suoh couldn't help but feel a twinge of fear.
That easygoing person... possessed the power to destroy galaxies.
Mumei and Horobi stood silently in the corner, backs against the wall.
Mumei: "What are they even talking about? I can't understand a word."
Horobi frowned at the murmur but didn't respond.
Mumei had been out of sorts from the very beginning.
A shout rang out from the watchtower.
Lookout: "Fusoujou is about to arrive at Aragane Station!"
The news left many stunned.
Koutetsujou(*Iron Fortress) had only recently arrived—why was another Hayajiro(*locomotives built to transport people and goods between stations.) showing up already?
To combat the threat of Kabane, the shogunate had built fortified stations known as "posts" across the land.
Only armored trains—referred to as "Iron Castles"—could travel between them.
One of the most well-known among them was the Koutetsujou.
Each Iron Fortress was operated by the shogunate and crewed by personnel rotated from various posts.
These posts survived by exchanging their unique goods, while the shogunate controlled logistics—and thus wielded tremendous power.
Despite its imposing appearance, Fusoujou wasn't designed for combat.
It served as a transport vehicle—for fleeing from the Kabane, not fighting them.
Aragane Post Station.
Known for its heavy industries, such as ironworks and steam engine production, Aragane was a hub of mechanical power.
Most Hayajiros in the country were built and maintained here.
As a result, Hayajiro's arrivals and departures were frequent, increasing the risk of Kabane infiltration.
Yet even so—Aragane had never seen one Hayajiro arrive so soon after another.
Moments later, the watchtower lookout noticed something was wrong.
His eyes widened. Panic rose in his throat.
Lookout: "It's not slowing down! That Fusoujou—it's carrying Kabane! Shut the gate!"
"!!!"
Alarm spread like wildfire.
People below turned pale and scrambled to seal the gates.
But the runaway Fusoujou was far faster than human hands.
The gate was only halfway shut when the steel beast crashed through it.
BOOM!
The massive force shattered the gate.
The thunderous sound reverberated through every corner of Aragane Station.
Some still stood in stunned confusion.
Then came the piercing sound:
"Weeee! Woooo!!!!"
The shrill alarm screamed across the station.
Everyone understood instantly.
Kabane had breached Aragane.
Panic erupted.
"The Kabane are here! Run!"
"Get out of the way!"
"Don't push me! Aaah—!"
Amidst the chaos, a voice rang out.
Samurai: "To the Koutetsujou! Everyone, to the Koutetsujou!"
They were samurai from the Shigao River family, the ruling clan of Aragane.
With their guidance, the panicked civilians found direction and surged toward Koutetsujou.
Horobi: "Of all times… it had to be now."
She sighed, exasperated.
Horobi: "Mumei, let's move. To the Iron Fortress."
Mumei: "Right."
...
What Mumei didn't notice was the update flashing in the chat interface:

Lemuel: "Ah, the doomsday team's arriving."
Saeko: "A pity the monsters are just zombie-like. Should be pretty manageable. If you're picked, expect a lot of points."
Vivi: "Huh? I'm in this one?"
Mikasa: "What should I prepare?"
Lemuel: "Weapons, mental readiness—y'know, the usual survival stuff."
Kisara Tendo: "Live broadcast! We need a live broadcast! And more live broadcasts!"
Silver Wolf: "Did no one notice the new enemy? The reincarnated one—the one who's been reborn. And it's an evil cultivator?"
Nanashi had the same thought.
Nanashi: "Whatever the enemy is, less chatter—more action."
Seitenshi: "Understood."
"Hahaha! What a wonderful world this is! I'm a Evil Cultivator—soon, I'll be invincible!"
The man with long, flowing pink hair spread his arms and laughed maniacally.
He stood atop the roof of a multi-story building, gazing down at the city below—a city that had become a living nightmare.
A massive gray sigil, shaped like an arcane magic circle, was etched across the streets, stretching out to cover the entire cityscape.
Above it floated a tattered banner adorned with grinning skulls, fluttering eerily in midair.
All around, both Kabane and humans screamed in agony.
A ghostly substance—like ethereal souls—was pouring from their mouths, rising and spiraling into the cursed banner above.
"Another city harvested... Once my Soul Refining Banner is perfected, I will become truly unstoppable..."
His twisted laughter suddenly cut off.
"This place... it's another world."
Mikasa muttered to herself, still trying to process her sudden arrival in a strange and unfamiliar city.
"Roar!"
A bloodcurdling growl snapped her back to reality.
Spinning around, she saw a figure charging toward her. Its chest glowed yellow-red, strange golden lines ran across its body, and its glowing eyes were locked on her.
Mikasa's instincts took over.
Images from the Doomsday Chat Group flashed through her mind—descriptions of these creatures called Kabane. She recalled something Nanashi, the group administrator, had mentioned: their weak spot was the heart.
She quickly reached for the handle of the blades housed within the box-shaped gear strapped to her waist—the Three-Dimensional Maneuver Gear.
With a fluid motion, she lowered her stance and exploded into movement.
Twin blades gleamed as she drew them simultaneously, her body slicing through the air like lightning.
With precise aim, she swung one blade upward toward the monster's heart.
Clang!
Though Kabane were once human, the impact sounded like metal on metal.
The strike was strong enough to cleave the flesh of a Titan, and it cut through the metallic membrane shielding the Kabane's heart.
Mikasa spun with practiced grace, her other blade driving forward in one smooth motion—piercing the heart cleanly.
Splurt!
A stream of yellow fluid burst out.
Mikasa instinctively covered herself with her cloak.
She remembered warnings from the chat group: Kabane were infectious. She didn't know whether the strange yellow substance could spread infection—but she wasn't about to take chances.
"Your movements... they're impressive."
The voice came from somewhere nearby—a quiet, almost casual compliment.
Mikasa looked up.
Golden blood droplets hovered midair, suspended in time.
She took a cautious step back and spotted several figures appearing just a few meters away.
She didn't recognize all of them—but some, she'd seen during a live broadcast.
Saiki Kusuo's gaze was fixed on the airborne blood. Though his mouth didn't move, she somehow heard his thought:
"Time stop."
Nanashi glanced at him, unsurprised.
Of course.
Saiki Kusuo, with his psychic powers—even time manipulation was within his grasp. Nanashi said nothing, but it made sense.
"That's enough."
Time resumed.
The golden blood splattered harmlessly onto the ground.
"Thank you," Mikasa said, locking eyes with Nanashi.
"Mm."
Nanashi looked around.
The scene was utter chaos—people running for their lives, others falling to Kabane attacks, and some already turning into the creatures themselves.
Blood stained the streets. Panic filled the air.
Aragane had become synonymous with fear, carnage, and confusion.
Saiki Kusuo watched it all, his normally unreadable face creasing ever so slightly with a frown.
Even for someone with immense psychic power, this level of destruction stirred something in him.
Nearby, Vivi looked visibly anxious. She wasn't strong—she knew that. She feared becoming a burden.
So instead, she chose to do what she could.
She launched a livestream.
[Ding! Vivi has started live streaming!]
[Silver Wolf has entered the livestream room!]
Elsewhere, Seitenshi unfurled her white wings. A glowing halo crowned her form as she transformed into a radiant angelic figure.
The sudden brilliance drew the attention of three other nearby figures.
Seitenshi turned toward Nanashi, who looked ready to move at any moment.
"Nanashi, what's our next move?"
"We find Mumei first. Our mission isn't just to handle the Kabane—we're also here for the so-called evil cultivator ."
He paused, then said,
"I've located Mumei. Let's move."
Space shimmered around them.
Near the Koutetsujou—
"Everyone, please enter the Koutetsujou immediately! It's about to depart!"
A distressed woman called out frantically at the Iron Fortress gate.
People surged into the armored train in a desperate rush.
Inside the chaos, Mumei and Horobi moved like streaks of light.
One used swift footwork, the other with a blade in hand—together, they dispatched Kabane with lethal efficiency.
The woman at the gate stared in disbelief as the two reached the Iron Fortress unscathed.
Then, suddenly—five figures appeared, blocking their path.
Horobi's expression turned cold. She raised her blade, voice sharp:
"Who are you!?"
"Friends of Mumei."
Nanashi smiled and turned to Mumei.
"Well? What do you think?"
Mumei hesitated, searching her memory.
Did she know them?
Just then, a prompt appeared in the chat group interface.
People from another world?
Its actually true!?
