Chapter 8 - Chapter — A Letter from the Goddess

Elaine had just finished stacking the last of the godly artifacts neatly into a glowing circle of magic when a soft pop echoed in the cabin. A small envelope—white with a golden seal—materialized out of thin air and drifted down like a feather, landing squarely on her lap.

"Oh, what now…" Elaine muttered, narrowing her eyes. Mystica flicked her tail, ears perked.

"Another gift?" the cat asked telepathically, her voice dripping with curiosity.

Elaine broke the seal and unfolded the elegant parchment. The handwriting was graceful and looping, but it carried a playfulness that made her lip twitch. She began to read aloud:

My cute little witch,

I got bored. So, to make your new life more entertaining, I decided to spice things up. I've modified your Marvel Earth. It's not just Marvel anymore—it now has pieces of other worlds stitched into it. Some from DC. Some from Harry Potter. Some from universes you don't even recognize yet. It will be far more dangerous… but far more fun.

And because I'm not completely heartless, I've granted you infinite magic reserves and boosted your magical talent to one hundred times what you'd normally have. Yes, you're even more overpowered now. Try not to break my world too quickly.

Oh, and since you've been calling me a perverted God… I thought I'd clarify. I'm not a God. I'm a Goddess. A very attractive one, at that. To prove it, I've included a little photo for you, my darling lesbian witch. Enjoy.

— With Love, Your Goddess

The parchment shimmered and then dissolved into golden motes of light. In its place, a glossy photograph appeared between Elaine's fingers.

It was a picture of the Goddess herself.

Elaine's eyes widened slightly despite herself. The woman in the photo was nothing short of breathtaking—long flowing hair that shifted color with the light, a body that made even Elaine's magically enhanced figure look modest, curves wrapped in an elegant but scandalously cut gown, lips curved in a knowing smile. Her eyes sparkled like twin stars, bright and playful, staring directly into the camera as if she could see Elaine through it.

Elaine felt her cheeks grow warm. "Oh no. Oh no no no." She pressed the photo against her chest, scowling at nothing in particular. "That perverted Goddess knew exactly what she was doing."

Mystica's mental voice purred with amusement. "Mistress, you're blushing."

"I am not blushing," Elaine snapped, though her ears had turned pink. "It's just—my new instincts. I'm a lesbian now, apparently. She did this on purpose."

The cat leapt onto the table, tail swaying, and peered at the photograph. "She is quite beautiful," Mystica observed, her telepathic voice lilting. "Perhaps your Goddess knows how to tempt you."

Elaine groaned and flopped back in her chair, holding the photo above her face. "Great. Infinite magic, a multiverse stitched into one planet, and now my divine benefactor is a smoking-hot Goddess who thinks I'm her plaything. Wonderful."

She let the photo drift down onto the table and pinched the bridge of her nose. "Well, at least she gave me infinite magic. That's… something."

Mystica's tail flicked. "Mistress, you do seem to attract chaos."

Elaine sat up, her expression shifting into a sly smile. "Yes. But chaos is where I thrive, Mystica." She tapped the photo once, watching it glow faintly. "If this Goddess wants a show, I'll give her the best damn one she's ever seen."
