Not long after, Kamar-Taj.
After making a call to Wanda, Eller passed through a portal and arrived at this sacred place for sorcerers.
Many sorcerers were practicing casting gestures in the square, and among the crowd was an acquaintance of Eller's, Stephen Strange.
But this future Sorcerer Supreme was currently just a novice; not even a trace of golden spark appeared at Stephen's fingertips, indicating he still had a long way to go.
Eller did not disturb Stephen, but instead went directly to the reception hall where Sorcerer Ancient One met important figures.
"Sorcerer Ancient One and two guests are already waiting for you inside."
Wang pulled open the door, allowing Eller to see the two guests inside, both of whom were no strangers to Eller.
Odin, the King of Asgard, wore a white robe and looked at Eller like a benevolent elder.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, young Human God."
The term 'Human God' might sound a bit strange, but it was quite fitting for Eller, who had risen step by step from a human to a divine being, and Eller also had a very strong sense of belonging to humanity.
Frigga, the Queen, stood beside Odin; she was surprised by Eller's growth, "You have become very strong, young man."
"Perhaps not strong enough yet," Eller said humbly, "If I had enough power, I could have killed the Great Serpent before it recovered its strength."
"That is precisely why we are here." Odin waved his hand, and a rectangular mahogany box inlaid with golden runes landed in front of Eller.
Even though Eller did not understand magic, as his horizons broadened, he still recognized that the box contained powerful energy; the complex magical enchantments would take even Sorcerer Ancient One a considerable amount of time to undo.
The contents inside are probably not simple… Eller thought to himself.
The next moment, the gold-inlaid mahogany box opened, revealing a divine weapon with a blade as brilliant as blue crystal and a hilt of golden yellow.
This divine weapon lay quietly on red velvet, awaiting its true Master.
Odin recounted the origin of this divine artifact:
"This is a weapon that can defeat the Great Serpent. According to the name given by its creator, it should have been called the Sword of Odin, but I think you will like its other name… the Twilight of the Gods Sword."
This was not Odin's weapon in Norse mythology; in legends, Odin's weapon was Gungnir, modeled after a meteor.
"What a magnificent weapon." Eller praised the beautiful blade of the Twilight of the Gods Sword.
As expected of a divine artifact meticulously crafted by an experienced God King, this Twilight of the Gods Sword was more powerful than any weapon Eller currently possessed.
Eller withdrew his gaze from the sword and then looked at Odin, asking, "You want to give me this powerful weapon?"
"Yes." Odin nodded, his single eye showing a father's concern, "I don't want Thor to die, so I want you to kill the Great Serpent in Thor's stead."
In the prophecy, Thor would die after defeating the Great Serpent, which Odin did not wish to see.
The Odin of another Universe took even more extreme measures after the 'Fear Itself' event; to prevent the Great Serpent from absorbing more fear, he prepared to directly destroy Earth, thereby cutting off the Great Serpent's source of fear absorption. In the end, it was the Thor of that World who persuaded him, allowing Earth to escape disaster.
In comparison, the Odin of the Border Universe was already very gentle in handling the Great Serpent matter.
"Interesting," Eller murmured, then he looked at Odin and asked, "Then why did you choose me? There seem to be other suitable candidates on Earth, right?"
Eller was not referring to the Eternal, but Captain Marvel Carol Danvers. Eller did not believe Odin was unaware of Carol's existence.
Upon hearing this, Odin looked directly at Eller, his tone becoming solemn.
"Because you are not in destiny?"
"Not in destiny?" Eller asked curiously, "What does that mean?"
"Young man, I once sacrificed an eye to the World Tree, which granted me the wisdom and power sufficient to protect Asgard." Odin explained to Eller:
"When Thor was just born, I could see who he would befriend in the future—that craftsman more skillful than a dwarf, the strong green warrior—they are all within destiny, but you are different…"
"You are not in destiny." Sorcerer Ancient One interrupted Odin, taking over the conversation, "Even the Eye of Agamotto cannot see your existence."
The Eye of Agamotto, a magical artifact that the Sorcerer Supreme must protect with their life, within which is hidden the Time Stone.
Upon hearing this, Eller realized, "Not in destiny, so I can change destiny."
"Yes," Frigga continued, "It is precisely for this reason that we, as Thor's parents, have come to present the Twilight of the Gods Sword to you."
"You hope I can slay the Great Serpent, right?" Eller smiled slightly, gladly accepting the task, "For my friend Thor, I promise you I will kill the Great Serpent."
As Eller's words fell, the Twilight of the Gods Sword automatically flew into his hand, and blue light instantly filled the entire room.
"The divine sword is responding to him?!" Frigga exclaimed in surprise.
Seeing this, Odin's expression finally softened, "This proves he has a very good chance."
"This is the person I value." Sorcerer Ancient One clasped her hands behind her back, her eyes filled with pride as she looked at Eller.
The light slightly receded, and information appeared in Eller's mind as he held the divine sword—the material and abilities of the Twilight of the Gods Sword.
The Twilight of the Gods Sword's material, like Mjolnir, is very suitable for the exertion of divine power, but instead of a dying star within it, the Twilight of the Gods Sword utilized the legendary 'Ring of the Nibelung' which, when worn, could rule the World.
The legendary Ring of the Nibelung carried a curse, but Odin erased this curse with absolute power, allowing the wielder to fight without being affected.
Due to Odin's emphasis on the Great Serpent, this divine sword possessed everything a 'King's Weapon of Asgard' should have, including the ability to open the Bifrost Bridge.
Eller, holding the Twilight of the Gods Sword, was practically like an 'Asgardian Co-King'.
"A King's Weapon?" Eller casually swung the Twilight of the Gods Sword a few times, leaving several blue light trails in the air, "The Great Serpent must be very angry to see me holding a weapon he doesn't even have right now, right?"
At the same time, the Great Serpent was also trying every means to restore its power.
In a deep-sea palace, the Great Serpent sat on its throne, below it were its Celestial Hammer Venerable, Skaði, Cursed Warrior, Hulk, Gilgamesh, Luke Cage, and 'Captain America' awaiting the Great Serpent's next command.
The Great Serpent felt the fear Earthling's were giving it gradually decreasing, and when it finally figured out what was going on, it couldn't help but curse.
"Damn fox!"
