Chapter 83 - Infinity Gauntlet

Asgard

Boom—

A series of thunderclaps came from afar, accompanied by flashes of golden light. Eller knew this was the great battle between Thor and Loki.

As the temporary king, Loki had the right to use Odin's divine artifacts, but he was not skilled in frontal combat, so his defeat was only a matter of time.

After about ten minutes, Eller saw Loki's figure flying towards the Bifrost Bridge.

But Loki was clearly sent flying, and Thor followed closely, landing on the Bifrost Bridge.

In the previous fight, Loki had lost Gungnir. Now, he could only use illusions and short daggers to deal with Thor.

But how could he be Thor's opponent? After a few rounds, Loki fell off the Bifrost Bridge, but Thor was quick-witted and stepped forward to grab Loki.

"Come up, Loki, and come home with me!" Thor shouted anxiously.

However, Loki was disheartened. His face was calm. "No, Thor, only the winner can be the King of Asgard."

With that, Loki raised the hand not held by Thor, and then fiercely stabbed the knife into Thor's forearm. At first, Thor was unwilling to let go, so Loki stabbed him several more times. Thor's hand, weakened by excessive bleeding, softened, and Loki took this opportunity to break free from Thor, then fell into the void.

Below the Bifrost Bridge was the boundless void. If one fell into it, even Heimdall might not be able to find Loki.

"No!" Thor cried out in grief.

Eller looked at this scene before him, wondering if this was the convergence of fate? Would Loki still lead the Chitauri army to attack Earth?

Although Eller thought so, he believed that this vastly changed Universe would definitely not proceed as he had imagined.

It might not be Loki who attacked Earth; it could also be Thanos's other subordinates.

Perhaps the sisters Nebula and Gamora, or the Black Order? Or Ronan the Accuser?

Before 2012 arrived, Eller couldn't guarantee anything.

Although 2012 felt distant, it was already late December 2009, leaving just over two years until the first large-scale alien invasion.

After losing his brother, who was like a sibling, Thor shed tears of pain. Sif and the Asgard Three Warriors stepped forward to comfort him.

Eller dispelled his transformation, revealing his true appearance, and sighed, "Poor Thor."

"Thor will get through it himself, my friend from Midgard." At this moment, Heimdall came to Eller's side and said to Eller:

"They are highly likely to hold a feast next, but before you get completely drunk with Thor, Queen Frigga wants to see you."

"Then I'll trouble Mr. Heimdall to lead the way." Eller, of course, knew what Frigga was going to do, so he asked Heimdall to lead him.

Soon after, Eller arrived at the palace in Asgard, where Queen Frigga had been waiting for a long time.

The Queen of Asgard looked somewhat sad, presumably because she had lost a child. She was dressed in luxurious clothing, temporarily exercising royal authority.

"It seems Kamar-Taj has found another Guardian with great potential. I welcome your arrival on behalf of my husband, who is in slumber." Frigga's voice was gentle yet powerful; her voice could even fill every corner of the palace.

"Your Highness Queen Frigga, my greetings." Eller nodded slightly in salute.

Frigga was the Queen of Asgard and had no authority over Eller, so Eller did not need to perform the one-knee kneeling etiquette like other Asgardians.

"This is what my husband promised you." Frigga raised her right hand, and a bottle that looked like it was made of gold appeared in mid-air. With a gentle wave of her hand, the bottle floated into Eller's hand.

Eller took the golden bottle, a little confused. This thing didn't seem to be worth Loki's life, did it?

Just then, Frigga began to explain to Eller, "This is no ordinary golden bottle; this is a golden bottle enchanted with magic. This bottle can produce Life Spring Water every day, which can fill you Midgardians with vitality."

"Full of vitality?" Eller asked, puzzled.

"Continuous consumption of Life Spring Water will make you healthy, and your lifespan will be half longer than other Midgardians, and you will not be troubled by diseases," Frigga patiently explained.

"Longevity? That's a bit far from me, Your Highness Queen Frigga. Does this Life Spring Water have any other uses?" Eller asked again.

"The greatest use of Life Spring Water is actually for healing. Remember, when injured, drink a portion of Life Spring Water, and then pour the other portion onto the wound. It can heal most injuries without leaving any sequelae… However, if places like the brain and heart suffer destructive damage, Life Spring Water cannot heal them, because that is your human natural physiology."

Frigga patiently explained to Eller, even adding a supplement at the end, as if afraid that Eller would recklessly seek death after getting the Life Spring Water.

"Thank you for Your Highness's kindness. Then I also…" Eller contentedly put the Life Spring Water into his dimensional pocket, and at this moment, Frigga said to Eller again:

"Wait a moment, guest. You seem to have helped me educate Thor to be very humble, so from a mother's personal standpoint, I can take you to the vault to choose a gift."

Upon hearing this, Eller's eyes lit up.

The vault? Odin's vault? There were many treasures in there.

"Can I choose anything?"

"Nothing too dangerous. The Sorcerer Supreme would not be happy to see you bring overly dangerous items back to Midgard." Frigga smiled slightly, then rose and led Eller to the vault.

On the way, Eller kept thinking about what item would look harmless, yet be approved for his possession by Odin and Frigga, and the Sorcerer Ancient One.

When the two reached the entrance of the vault, Eller indeed remembered a very precious and potentially useful item that was not dangerous at the moment.

After Frigga opened the door, Eller went straight for that item. He ignored many divine weapons and directly came before the huge golden gauntlet.

"You want this?" Frigga frowned slightly upon seeing what Eller wanted, then advised:

"Do you want to look at other things? Without those stones, this gauntlet is just a display."

The item Eller wanted was the Infinity Gauntlet. As a God King who had once campaigned across the Universe, Odin also collected an Infinity Gauntlet, but he had not gathered all the Infinity Stones, so the gauntlet had always remained in the vault.

"No, I want this!" Eller said firmly.

Frigga realized she couldn't argue with this young man. Anyway, a gauntlet without the Infinity Stones wasn't anything important, so she gave it to Eller to foster good relations.

Moreover, Frigga was a Witch, and she also had a certain degree of foresight. Like her husband, she hoped that Eller could bring a different outcome to Ragnarok.

Therefore, the chips placed on Eller became very important.

After personally watching Eller take the Infinity Gauntlet, Frigga said to him, "Asgard will be holding a feast next. I wish you a pleasant time, guest."
