"No," I said.
"Good. Now roll onto your side so we can spoon."
"Oh, God," I said in mock horror. "Not snuggling!"
"Get used to it," said Nathan as he pushed me onto my side and pressed his rock-hard body against mine. He wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me closer.
"I love you, Lily," he said against my shoulder.
"I love you, too, Nathan."
"Good. Then you won't be opposed to marrying me."
"What?" I pulled free and turned over to face him.
"Marriage," he said. "It involves rings and vows and people eating cake afterward." He kissed me. "I want you to be mine, and I want to be yours."
"Even if I still want to quit my job?" I asked.
"As long as you don't quit me," he said. "I'll give you the world, Lily, if you say yes."
"Yes, I'll marry you." I cupped his face and looked
into his eyes. "But I don't want the world, Nathan. I only want you."
