KELLAN WARD
Aurora planted a kiss on Kellan's lips then leaned near his ear to whisper, "Wait until we get home for your real reward."
Excitement made his stomach pitch. He grasped her wrist and pulled her up. "Let's go home."
"Sir. Madam."
Irritated, Kellan looked over to see the gentleman who'd tried to outbid him for Natalia Moon's relics. "Yes?" he said, impatient.
The man's gaze had shifted to Aurora. He couldn't seem to take his eyes off her.
"You're rudely staring at my wife," said Kellan. "If you want to keep your eyes, then I suggest you look elsewhere."
"Apologies," said the man stiffly. "Your wife looks familiar."
Kellan tucked Aurora behind him. Jealousy roiled in his blood. Only Aurora's hand clutching his kept him from punching this guy in the throat. "What do you want?"
"The jewelry set, sir. My employer is willing to pay any price to have it."
"No." Kellan attempted to go around the man, but he stepped in front of Kellan.
